This is always a nice stop when we're down here using our Wyndam timeshare. We always enjoy the more dry reds and whites; however, after trying the Orange Squeeze (favored at UT tailgatings), am looking forward to sharing with my lady friends while sitting in the deck.u

As a resident of Lee's Summit, MO for more than 20 years, I had passed Stonehaus numerous times on Colbern Road on my way to Lake Jacomo. One day I finally made a u-turn and stopped to check it out and I'm glad I did. I do not consider myself a wine connoisseur, so it was probably to my benefit that they only offer about a dozen wines, and they will offer free samples of all of them. I prefer their Chardonel, a dry white wine, and their Chambourcin, a dry red wine. Whenever I stop by to stock up, I always purchase a Cythiana, a Norton wine made from the Missouri state grape. It's probably one of those little known facts that Missouri played a major role in the world's wine history since the late 1800s. That being said, I always enjoy my visits to Stonehause Farms and especially their annual Oktoberfest.

Don't waste your time or money. The staff is awful, argumentative and just rude! And the wine is just mediocre. We rented a room for a private event and they said we weren't customers and the walk-in customers took priority over the customer paying for the room! Are you kidding me? I could go on and on about how what a nightmare we had in dealing with staff for a rental, but the worst part was when I called to talk to the owner, he was just as bad. Clearly the problem with staff stems from the top.And if you use a credit card, BE CAREFUL!!! They do not follow current federal guidelines and you might be subject to identity theft for their negligence. I called the credit card processing company to report them for the irresponsible action.I would never recommend this place to anyone nor would I suggest spending your money on their wines. There are so many other wonderful wineries in KC. Support local - just not this place.

My wife and I visited and received poor/no service. The wine wasn't very good and everything seemed to be marked uo quite a bit. People just ignored us while we were there. Not a very large place but it did look like they might have an event space in the back that looked like it could be nice.

This is a nice area and the people are friendly, but don't bother trying the wine especially if you are a wine lover. You know you are in trouble when they have things like cherry Cabernet....

We went for a wine tasting and found a great time, visiting with the owner and enjoying the incredible scenery. They have a nice selection of wines and we came away with at least one new favorite. Try the port!
