This is a great museum. We all loved it. Our your guide (Shannon?) was great. Highly recommend this museum. The kids and adults loved it. Thanks for a great tour!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've taken my kids to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in DC, the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, and many others, and while this museum doesn't compare to those, I think it's better than the Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin AFB and several others. While there are outstanding history lessons and mementos that will enthrall adults, the highlight for us was the kids section, the simulators were better than any I've seen at the aforementioned museums (except for the ones you have to pay for, and even then is a close call since you can't pilot those). While there's no aircraft carrier mock-up playground like in Pensacola, or a tower with real communications like at the Smithsonian, my kids got just as much enjoyment out of the Nicholas Beazley Museum than any of the others, at a fraction of the price.

What a wonderful museum! It tells the history of both the Micholas Beazley Airplane Mfg. Co. as well as some of the history of the wonderful little down of Marshall MO. Lovingly crafted exhibits done with a very local flavor and touch. Great intro video to watch. Interactive and a large kids play area with Microsoft Flight simulators to play with. If this museum was in a larger metro area, it would do landoffice biz. As it is, it probably does not get the share of visitors it deserves. Note...giftshop does not take credit cards.

Just a short way off of I-70 is this beautiful museum which chronicles the history of the largest flight training school back in the early days of aviation. The guided tour which is included in the low price of admission is very interesting and informative. Taking pictures is allowed which is always a plus. If you are interested in aviation it is definately worth checking out. They also have lots of hands on activities for children. Fun for the whole family!

As a child I have fond memories of taking to the skies from the grassy runway in Slater, MO with my Uncle Dick in his canvas covered, single prop plane. It was both frightening and thrilling at the same time since the plane offered little safety features and Uncle Dick was always tinkering with the engine to make sure that it would actually run properly. This plane was donated to the Nicholas Beazley Aviation Museum following his death and is a reminder of many fun days from my childhood when it actually was an airborne marvel.
