My wife and I regularly visit Figuero's, which is located on the riverfront in historic old St. Charles, Missouri. Figuero’s is a great place for gourmet tea and coffee. In the event they do not have a selection (some items are not regularly kept in stock) it can be special ordered for you. Figuero’s is best known for its selection of hot sauces and related items. There are over 2000 sauces, salsas, rubs and related items. A visit to the hot sauce room is an amazing experience. Hours can be enjoyably spent, just examining the offerings. The hottest 60 are kept under lock and key with the top 19 being available to adults only. The appeal runs from the curious, to the gourmet looking for a particular brand of sauce, to those looking for something interesting for a recipe, gift or other reason. To round things out there is a coffee bar overlooking the Missouri river where visitors can relax and enjoy the view. The experience at Figuero’s is enhanced by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Being located in the historic district with other unique restaurants and shops is a delightful bonus and makes the trip even more worthwhile.
