My wife had heard about this place from a friend so we decided to take our daughter there to see the tigers. They do a tour every hour on the hour so don't show up too early or you'll end up just sitting there waiting. The restaurant was closed the day we got there so we'll have to go back again for that. We just did the basic tour which cost $10 per person. Our tour group was very small so there weren't many of us to ask questions when the time came. They have 4 tigers ( Izzy, Thor, Gracie, Suvarna,) and 1 lion (Alexis). You do get to see the tigers and lion close up and can get some good pictures if you want to. The basic tour is only 45 minutes long and the guide will tell you a little of their history and where they came from. Was a pretty educational tour but it was a small park. Was hoping they had more but for the space they have they can only house the animals they already have. After the tour you walk to the gift shop/ educational area and pay for your tour and you can buy some souvenirs and you get a free sample of Fizzy Izzy root beer which is made by the Crown Ridge distillery. The tour was not too bad I just hope that when we go again that our group is a little bigger.
I traveled as a couple and we both really enjoyed it. Several tigers on the property and we learned more about them. Great environment for rescues and they did a great job educating the public. Great for families also. There is a small gift shop to purchase a variety of gifts.
I heard about this sanctuary from a friend and took a group of 28 people of all ages including children on the tour and then lunch at the winery. The animals are awe inspiring. What they have each been through is heart breaking! Thank goodness for this sanctuary. The staff are friendly and very caring. We all appreciated that the staffer who gave us the tour was honest and seemed well informed. I loved that they treat these big cats as wild beings that deserve respect and they are not a circus attraction for our amusement! The grounds and enclosures are very well kept and clean. The cats are healthy an happy! This is the best I have seen! They are always in need of food and other items for the cats care. Please go to their website and check out the wish list! If you know of a farmer or butcher let them know that the cats love the bones and need 8-10 pounds of meat per day to survive and be healthy.Go in this tour! It is wonderful!
It was very cool to get that close to the tigers and to learn all about them. You really felt like you got to know them. However, we were there for a Valentine's Day event and we kept being reminded that the tiger's were not going to get a big meal during our tour because there was a V.i.P tour coming through later. In fact, that came up a lot during the tour and it kind of felt like it was a sell job to unless you come and sign up for a VIP tour in the future...game over.
This Tiger Sanctuary was such a treat to visit. It is very highly recommended, you will never forget your visit. They take excellent care of these beautiful animals. Currently they have 4 Tigers and 1 Lioness. It was amazing to see them up close. When we were there they were very playful and roaring like only they can do.The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. What they are doing for these animals is incredible, who without them and their services I hate to think where they might be.You can give donations to help the Tiger's as well, which we did willingly. They also have a small gift shop with T-Shirts and little stuffed Tigers and Lionesses for the kids. Postcards, pictures, etc. When you leave you will have such a warm, good feeling about them. I still do and will never forget the experience. They are just so beautiful. They also have a root beer named after one of the Tigers - Fizzy Izzy. You can buy it down the road at the Crown Valley Brewery. It's delicious and Izzy's face in on the box.
