This was our first time here. The place is absolutely gorgeous. All the amazing wood work and detail is incredible. Great venue to catch an attraction.

If you ever get a chance to see a concert in this venue do not turn it down! Delicious atmosphere, ornate decor, comfy and cozy.Great sound. Plenty of spots to grab a cocktail. Walking distance to an entertainment district.Clean and beautiful. Nice work KC!!

We actually came in January of 2014 to see Alton Brown. I loved the show and the floor seats we had. The theater itself is incredibly beautiful inside. If you like beautiful carved woodwork and old architecture it's definitely worth a visit. It's a rather intimate venue, and I don't think any seat in the house would be bad. The curtains around the stage are a bit shabby, but that's a minor detail. My only complaints are that it was a bit like navigating a maze to find the restrooms on a lower level. It could be difficult for someone who might have a handicap. Also, they set up merchandise vendors in front of the doors in a very confined area, it was shoulder to shoulder people and made me feel rather claustrophobic (which is unusual for me).

What a great space for concerts! Love, love, love the art deco atmosphere. Sky bar is fabulous! Great place to see a band.

My visit was a few years ago, but it was memorable!A small group of friends and I dressed for a Halloween concert at the Midland - the artist was Cyndi Lauper. What a hoot!Cyndi did a great job, the theater had great acoustics, was easy to get in and out, there was ample parking in the surrounding area, etc. We had a GREAT time.My only issue was not with the venue, but with the sound engineer - Cyndi's mic needed to be brought forward and the rest of the band brought down a notch for better balance.Note: In order to submit I had to choose a date. I chose Oct 2014, because I could not go back to Oct 2012

Nice lobby, some construction defects all over the place, but not enough to detract from the overall beauty.Major problem? The floor doesn't slope well. Unless you are in the front row of one of the levels, or on the balcony, don't bother getting any seats past row 10 or so. You won't be able to see the stage. Period. The picture I took was at a John cleese even where they were sitting in chairs. You can't see anyone. Might as well watched it on TV

I always enjoy this venue no matter what type of entertainment which ranges from popular comedians to Kid Rock, Joe Bonamassa, Peter Frampton, and Davy Knowles. It's a smaller venue which is nice compared to the vastness and crowds at the Sprint Center. Really not a bad seat in the place.

First I will say that I was not familiar with Bassnector, but always up for an adventure. The facility is one of the most beautiful landmarks in KC. I bought tickets at a charity auction for on the floor standing for the concert, but there were seats set up behind the sound system. The crowd was really young (20 somethings) but they were so polite and respectful. I'm 60 something and a grandma so I was quite out of place at this concert. At least I had my similar age girlfriend with me so I wasn't alone. The music was electronic in style and they had a number of "old" tunes they remade to this style of music, so it was really a fun concert. Glad the sound system guys gave us ear plugs as you could feel the bass beat even in your hair. My oldest grand daughter would have loved the concert, too bad she is in Chicago. The acoustics are amazing in this theatre. Would definitely come back for another concert (different performer) in the future. The staff behind the bar was incredible.

Beautiful old venue with amazing detail inside. Very good acoustics and views for a concert. We had a great time in the 3rd row of the balcony section center stage. Easy parking nearby makes it an easy in and out location. Great place for a show.

(Now called Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland).Saw Jerry Seinfeld perform here with my husband. We had tickets for center upper balcony. My husband's seat was fine, but I had a tall guy sitting in front of me, so as Seinfeld paced back and forth across the stage during his set, I had to keep leaning left, then right, to look around the tall guy's head so I could see Seinfeld. However, it was still a good show in an impressive, beautiful venue. The location was close to our hotel and endless dining options. The acoustics were very good. Thankful that this venue is still around, that a group of individuals did what it took to save/restore it, and that I had the opportunity to be entertained for a short while within its walls. Its grandiose interior - designed and created in a time when people looked at 'going out on the town' as an "event" - seemed to be taken for granted by those who showed up in T-shirts and sweat pants... to each their own, I suppose.

Our closing dinner/entertainment for a business conference was held in this theatre. The wait and bar staff were fantastic. The facility was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to tour around a bit and check out much of the building.

When they remodeled the Floor seating to squeeze more seats into the existing space they pretty much destroyed the Seating options that allow you to see the stage. The Floor is not sloped so if you have the misfortune to be behind somebody taller than 5'1"' you will not see much of the stage. We typically get Balcony seats for that very reason. But then you are far, far from Stage and if you don't have front row balcony same problem with sightlines. Acoustics vary from Show to show but overall very good. Great Sound, No Sight. Not my favorite place to go for concerts by a long shot.

Build in 1929, I think this is a venue everyone must embrace. No photos do it justice as to just come in and enjoy the total awesomeness of the décor. We saw the Fab Four there last night, and you just felt the history. Every performance and event here has been spot-on. The only surprise was we had a meet and greet, and were escorted to this nasty room on the side of the stage with dirty sinks, and peeling paint. Horrible place for a meet and greet in this amazing theatre...but a little piece of backstage history. I sure hope the dressing rooms are nicer than this area...no air conditioning. We were all dripping sweat and felt sorry for the performers who then had to go play (and they were a 10 out of 10...best tribute Beatles band anyplace).

This building is a great piece of history. It is so beautiful and well kept. A must see. Any performance would be fun here.

We went to the stadium seating and they gave food and a bar when you get inside. The food is ok but the service is great. A great place to see a movie.
