I attended the Symphony at Helzberg Hall a few months back, and the space really does have incredible acoustics. Parking is also a breeze at the underground deck (even with multiple performances on the same night).Beautiful addition to the KC skyline.

The architecture of the Kauffman Center is amazing. If you are visiting on a sunny afternoon, you need sunglasses inside the building because of all the glass facing south offering a tremendous view of the Kansas City Skyline. I go here because I am a Theatre League subscriber. Those performances are always enjoyable, and a better venue no one could ask for. Julia Irene Kauffman, like her parents, remain a blessing to Kansas City because of their civic giving and choices to support their hometown.

I saw the Sydney Opera House when it was new. The Kauffman center has to have been created in its image. Gorgeous! It does honor to the Kansas City Symphony. The acoustics are nothing short of pristine.TIP: ALL seats are great. We actually snagged front row, mezzanine, which was SUPERB.

The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a premier attraction in Kansas City. It is home to the outstanding Kansas City Symphony and hosts Broadway shows as well as a wide range of entertainment. There are two performing venues...both outrageously wonderful! No expense was spared. If you love the arts -- check the schedules-- and whether you are vacationing in KC, visiting relatives, or someone who lives there that hasn't made the trip to the Kauffman--check for a show and buy tickets!!! It is a wonderful experience.

I took my daughter to the Nutcracker over the Christmas holiday and we thought it was the best Nutcracker we have ever seen. Looking forward to it again next year.

Went to the Kauffman Center for one of the orchestra's performances, and was not disappointed. It is elegant yet still comfortable, and a great place to go see music!

They claim this is THE number 1 Performance Center in the world. After visiting ad touring all three theaters under one roof I believe the claim. The architect that designed The Kauffman center for the performing arts is the same person who designed the Sidney, Australia opera theater. The Music Hall is acoustically perfect as the person in the very last row of the upper balcony can hear every single note. The theatrical hall has space to fly almost any sized sets anyonecould use indoors. The common lobby is enclosed with 3 stories of glass which includes the roof.Service bars are mobile and move on air cushions to what ever venue they are needed. This magnificent center was built with private donations and NO government funds and is totally paid for without any taxes on the citizens. When you visit Kansas City, Mo. be sure and visit this center. You will be AWED.

The acoustics are as amazing as the Kansas City Symphony! Yefim Bronfman was the pianist who brought the packed house to a standing ovation after his performance. This was our second visit to the Kaufman to hear the Kansas City Symphony perform and we will definitely be making the five hour trip again

Almost brand-new state of the art facility. Seating options and sound quality are first rate. Quality performances of Broadway Shows and other Performing Arts. Ample parking options, Valet parking available for a fee. Concessions do serve alcohol. Dine early or later nearby at a number of venues. Webster House is our favorite, a special, elegant setting - Do make a dinner reservation here well in advance of the performance you plan to attend.

First, it's heresy to say anything in the slightest bit negative about the Kauffman in Kansas City. So let me begin with the obvious -- this facility is absolutely fabulous in so many ways -- from its acoustics to its cutting-edge design. However, there are a couple of "flaws" that prevent it from being perfect.Even a first time visitors will often comment that the rows of seats are unduly long with no center aisles. So, unless you are seated near either end of a row, you may be squeezing past a dozen patrons to reach your seats. In the event of an emergency, it could be quite problematic. The facility was poorly designed for anyone with a disability. Obtaining elevator access is difficult due to the limited number of elevators versus the demand...then accessing one's seats if disabled can be a Herculean challenge. Still, we are so grateful to have this beautiful facility in Kansas City, and to be able to enjoy the Symphony and other groups. I only wish that more thought had been given accessibility. The supporters of the arts are, by and larger, an older demographic...and sensitivity to their needs would be a virtue.

Our guests really enjoyed visit this venue for a tour. Many suggested they would like to attend a performance here in the future!

Talk about spectacular, well this place indeed is just that. The architecture is fantastic! We live about three hours away and have been twice and have been totally impressed both times. We just attended Handel's Messiah last weekend. Tickets are easy to purchase on their website. It's located just off the interstate and easy to find. A parking garage, which you pay an addition fee for, puts you right at the venue. Thanks to the Kauffman Foundation, people from near and far can enjoy performing arts in a classy fashion. A wonderful experience.

It's awe inspiring to see this building. It took a lot of resources to make it happen but it is worth it. It adds to the downtown look.

The architecture is second only to the outstanding acoustics of the music hall. Really first rate venue and should attract top performers.

The Kansas City Ballet performs at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. We had the pleasure of watching the performance of Alice. The Center itself is a beautiful venue. One side of the lobby is glass and provides a view of the city. On the other side are two theaters. Acoustics were excellent and we could hear the tap tap of the ballerina's pointe shoes. The KC Symphony performance was amazing! I am sure performing at the KCPA would make any group better, yes, and a joy for guests to see and/or hear. Parking is easy in the KCPA garage and there are lots of parking spaces. Nothing I dislike about the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. It is a bright spot in Kansas City!
