We have had the pleasure of visiting the Promissed Land Zoo a few times. Every time we visit, we love feeding the animals, watching the live show, and walking the beautiful grounds. Parakeet Paradise is always a favorite stop, and our children can't get enough of feeding the birds! We love talking to the staff and the family feel of the zoo. It's such a gem of a place. Our daughters have both asked for animal encounters for their birthday gifts. Our oldest had her encounter with the caracal kitten, and LOVED every minute. Our younger daughter is going this week to play with the wolf pups! You must add this to your Branson list!
Overpriced for very little to see or do. I was charged $86 for 5 tickets, to include a half price ticket discount for about 2 hours. You will have all day access, but saw everything in about 1 hour and hung around for a show that lasted about 30-45 minutes. The show was good and informative, but this place is not worth the fees charged. I hope they improve their property and adjust pricing downward. They also should advertise that they do not have many animals to view or interact with so families know how much they are spending for 1 hour. I like animals, but your money is better spent at the go cart tracks.
My kids are 7 and 5, they both loved The Branson Promise Land Zoo! It had a great variety of animals, things to do and the staff was wonderful! We will be back!
The woman folk took the kids, 2 teens and 2 younger kids one morning of our week long stay. Missed the baby animal bottle feeding so settled for tiny cups of dog food. Maybe it was the foggy weather but the whole park (which is small for a zoo) seemed sad. The show was short but well done. The kids could pet and learn about 7 different animals. The parakeet house was cool. The exotics seemed too confined and paced. Would not return or recommend. Was also not handicap accessible.
Really enjoyed the little zoo. They had several baby animals, and several species that you don't see often, such as the hyena and the muntjac. You are able to feed and pet a good portion of the animals, and they have a very interesting and informative animal shows at scheduled times throughout the day where you can see and touch several other species not seen elsewhere in the zoo. I do agree with several of the other reviewers that the land has some slightly steep areas, which may not be the best for those who have strollers or knee problems.
Me and my husband came across this small zoo in December 2014 when we were celebrating our anniversary. We are big zoo goers and this place was not a let down. I took our six year old son and my mother in law today. My son cried when we left! Not only do you get to have lots of hands on experience with most of the animals, but they have live encounters (they do cost extra but are worth the money). Today I volunteered to go into the enclosure with their new owl. I got the privilege of helping them get her accustomed to being around people. What a neat place they have established! Keep up the good work Jungle Josh!!!!!! We will be back many times!
Who knew that tucked in the hollers of Branson was a great little zoo. It has a great variety of animals and the keepers ovbiously take very good care of them all. There is a parakeet house that is very fun to visit. If at all possible be sure to see the animal show. They give you a lot of information and usually you can even feed or touch the animals. It makes for a great experience! Don't miss it!
This is a small Zoo that is fun for young children. We also visited the one in Eagle Rock which is a drive through, which we all like more. My pre-teens were bored all but the bird house.
Great place to get close to animals...fun for all ages. Live shows give you the chance to learn about some of the different animals. The close encounters cost extra but are worth every penny. I can't wait to go back!!
We really enjoyed the Promised Land Zoo. The animals were very young and energetic, and we were able to feed and interact with them in a way we've never done before. Paying extra for a one on one encounter with a baby baboon was especially amazing!
Get up and close with the animals. Fun and interactive. the hillside walkway was the only disappointment..but you are in the ozarl mtns so it should be expected. :)
this is a very cool interactive zoo for kids. It has some big cats but mostly a lot of deer and other species. The main attraction is the bird cage which is fun because the birds flock to you. They have an animal show about every 2 hours so time your visit around that and you will feel good about the value. This is a cool place for a beat party for young kids by the way.
We had a great visit Valentine's Day. We did one of the special feedings with the Sloths and I highly recommend. My daughter loved it. We will absolutely be back!!
This zoo delivered above and beyond and expectations I had! Between being able to feed and touch all the animals and then my sloth visit, I've never been more satisfied with money spent at a zoo!! The staff was knowledgable and friendly and they catered beautifully to the children. The one stick-out point of this experience, was the one-on-one sloth visit I got to have. I have always been a huge sloth fan (there aren't many out there), and a chance to pet one and feed one just absolutely made my day! What a phenomenal chance it was!!
I took my nephews here not knowing what to expect. This place is great! Do not miss the live animal show! It was the best part. They not only let everyone pet several animals, but they allow pictures and do not rush you. Jungle Josh was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot during the show. We got to bottle feed a camel. The parakeet house was really neat too!
