what a beautiful spot to visit. Great falls, a little hidden park to sit and enjoy the sound of rushing water. I could have spent hours here. If you enjoy nature this is a fabulous spot to visit. There are several trails to explore as well
We brought a lunch to the park on Sunday afternoon in July. We enjoyed the easy walk on the path to the little and big falls. We didn't swim but there is a pond for swimming.
There are some wonderful trail loops in this park, very easy for all ages but with many magical places. You can begin at the Big Falls trailhead off of Cherry Hill road and make you way to Little Falls...watch out for the humongous snapping turtle! In the spring you can find several vernal ponds. Listen for the barking of tree frogs, look for salamander eggs, listen for mating birds...but leave it as you find it. You can also go to the main beach area on Route 157...cute little swimming hole, and the trails are accessible from here as well.
Perfect time of year, even if a bit squishy, for one of Wadsworth's many 1 hour - 90 minute lollipop loop hikes. Once it gets real hot, the park gets crowded - but it's blissfully quiet this time of year. Had the whole trail to myself for the first 90% of my hike. Not terribly challenging, but a cool place to get out and commune with nature on Easter!
