Yummy Ice Cream. Can't get fresher then Uconn Dairy Bar. Also, you can learn about the history of the Dairy bar. The kids Enjoyed it! Great service.

Best ice cream. We always take out of town friends and family. UConn campus is pretty. Parking can be a little tight but the ice cream is worth waiting for a spot.

I confess, I am a UConn alumni class of 1984, and nothing tastes as wonderful to me as HUSKY ice cream fresh from the Dairy Bar (unless I buy it in stores where its also pretty fresh). Its fresh from the cow to the creamery to the cone - can it get any better than that? I think not! If you are in the area, or a lucky student, make this a stop for sure.

Fabulous flavors and home made. you even see where they make it. went there after a good first bike ride!

We took our grandchildren to see the animals and they were disappointed. There just weren't that many we could get up close to. The dairy bar saved the day with its unique flavors and viewing window onto the area where the ice cream was made. Parking was tight, prices very reasonable. Family friendly.

With a variety of flavors that varies seasonally (pumpkin being largely a fall only flavor and my favorite), the Dairy Bar offers rich and creamy ice cream guaranteed to please even the most discerning palates. For instance, I did not enjoy chocolate ice cream until I tried it here. They only accept cash or Visa/Mastercard so take that into account - they used to only take cash! :) As a Storrs resident I do not fear inviting people here; in fact, I insist that they make the trip if they are in the area. I have often met people from neighboring states who were curious enough to make the trip, and they all said it was worthwhile! :)

We have been going to UCONN Dairy Barn for the past 3 years. It is free to go watch them milk the cows. Then we drive down the hill to see the horses & sheep. It is a beautiful campus and get to see what a working farm looks like. Then we go to the UCONN Dairy Barn for homemade ice cream, eggs and cheese.

The new Uconn dairy bar is now a bigger place, but the ice creamis still very good, with plenty of flavor to choose from! We always enjoyed our visit there, even though we live nearby! It could be crowded during the school season. The parking is very good. We think that prices are reasonable, too!

Located right on UCONN Campus and it's always busy - delicious ice cream in so many different flavors posted on the wall. Parking can sometimes be a problem. You can also purchase fresh eggs and milk. They give you a good portion of ice cream, inside and outside seating is available. Closed for renovation - 1/13 - 1/17/14. Since Ice Cream is made on their facilities - Educational Tours are offered by calling UCONN Dairy Plant - (860) 486-0569 to schedule an appointment.

Beware-cash only! That's the downside, the only one. The ice cream here is excellent. The workers are UCONN students-nice people! Stopping here is like a pilgrimage for some people. It is something you just have to do. I graduated from UCONN in '77 and love to stop in there and relive the old days. It's gooooood!!!

UConn Dairy Bar is all around the best ice cream around! They make it right there on campus from the milk from their own cows. You can't get any more local than that! It is always busy so there can be a short wait (5 minutes or so) sometimes, but it is totally worth it. They offer everything from sundaes to shakes and have half gallons and ice cream sandwiches (and eggs) available to take home!
