Hot stone massage with essential oils was very relaxing and was comparable to others I have experienced at lesser-priced spas. The difference was the cleanliness and calming environment. Perhaps it was because I went mid-day during the week. Services were not over-the-top but facilities and convenience to the Inn and Restaurant are a plus.

We made reservation at the spa for a couples massage. It was a day visit only this time, no overnight stay. We had a great lunch on the patio of the Inns restaurant (Fresh Salt)before our services and took a walk by the water. I would highly recommend anyone to try the Sanno detox massage/ treatment. We both felt pampered. The therapists were great. One of the best massages we have had in CT. This was not our first spa experience. We sat on the spa patio before and after our treatment. The relaxation rooms were beautiful. Every one was a attentive and professional. Changing room very clean and lovely. Service was outstanding. On the last visit to the spa, I had a manicure and pedicure. I had a type of gel polish that I really wanted removed. The spa staff went out to their supplier to get all the correct removers for this nail polish. The spa is a green establishment so they did not normally use these polishes. The technician knew exactly the correct method to remove this polish. They went the extra mile to make sure I was happy and satisfied .....and I was and still am! We received a big hug from our new friend at the spa this visit ads we arrived. We continue to be impressed with all the personal care and service.

I received the head over heals service and my husband got a deep tissue massage. We have both been to many spas over the years, and our services were average at best. We'd return to the Saybrook Hotel in the future, but will skip the spa next time.

A couple of weeks ago my girlfriend and I went to get pampered, and we were! The facial and massage were Fabulous! I don't know that I would spend that kind of money on the pedicure again. The color looked great, and still does, but not as much care to the cuticles as I would have liked. We got a package that included lunch at Fresh Salt, the restaurant right there at the hotel & spa, Wonderful! We had the most amazing Pea Soup-so fresh and light. It tasted like the peas were just picked out of the garden right before serving it to us. Everybody we dealt with at the spa & restaurant were great!

I had a scalp/hair treatment at Sanno. It was okay, I don't think I would do it again, not exactly what I had expected. I was really turned off by the technicians smell of cigarettes and I also was quite distracted by the drilling sound that was going on during the treatment, I guess due to renovations? I had a facial at Sanno that I really enjoyed, and would return again for that.

Thank you and it is particularly rewarding to get such positive feedback from a professional. We are very proud of Betty in the approach her staff displays to our guests.

We believe we are priced fairly and in a similar fashion as other spas of our kind but do take your comments quite seriously.Part of our competitive strategy is to hire the best service providers that we can which is a contributing factor to the cost of services. We do hope that you chose to return.
