This is another one of those country type places. My wife and I took a tour of this place and she loved it because she is from the country. You can learn more about flowers and herbs and some insects (bugs), and how they affect each other. Learn about the science of growing things in the ground. It is also worth a visit, just to learn more about this type of nature, AND TO TASTE THEIR HOME MADE ICE CREAM.

Even if you're not in the market to buy herbs, this is a peaceful, relaxing place to visit. The gift shop is stocked with lavender products and they also co-op with a bee keeper and dairy. We tasted lavender lemonade and chocolate cheese. They also offer classes on herbs --- including some cooking classes. Great staff!

Lavender Fields is a wonderful place. Lots of fresh herb and veggie plants to purchase, as well as garden decor and all things lavender. The owners are wonderful people who gladly answer any and all questions with a smile. They clearly love growing herbs and helping people discover that joy. It's a lovely setting on the Chickahominy River and the tables with all of the plants are a delight. They also offer garden and cooking classes. You must try their lavender ice cream! Whenever I need to buy herbs and veggie plants, the ONLY place I go is Lavender Fields.

A lovely place for a day visit. It the springtime many vegetable plant are available for the home gardener. We stopped by had a ice cream and sat on a bench in the shade watching the river flow by. The folks working there seemed to enjoy their jobs and were willing to help out and answer any questions that came up. I understand the lavenders were destroyed last year due to a storm.

I've been to this herb farm at least three times. I take family and friends there when they visit me. It has everything --classes, herbs galore with a very informative and helpful staff, and a place to lunch although I have not tried lunch there. I just simply enjoy going through the gardens and learning about herbs. I have tried recipes using their suggestions --quite tasty. You must try the lavender ice cream if they still have it. Also, go sit by the river for a spell. I go Saturday mornings before it gets too crowded.

This is a cute little local farm to check out. Visited it when my husband and I had company in town. It is definitely worth stopping by to see if you are looking for something to do. There is also a cute little gift shop.

We think this place has promise. Someday, it will have all its flower plantings identified, and more than three growing lavender species to smell and admire. Nonetheless, for discerning gardeners, it's well worth a visit.

Today we attended the Herb Faire, my husband and I enjoyed a very nice lunch and strolled through the many rows of herbs and vegetables for sale. We attended several classes on beekeeping, successful gardening and container gardening. Everyone was most helpful and informative, and we came away with a new knowledge about growing herbs. Would definitely return.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch. The farms are quaint. There is a quiet bench overlooking the bend in the river. They also have great ice cream and wonderful honey.

This lavender farm has a nice gift shop and sells garden implements, herbal teas, honey. They make their own ice cream too! I purchase herbs from them in the spring and enjoy visiting and noshing here!
