three brothers brewery

Went November 2014, they had a great 5lb pumpkin ale actually ended up taking a growler home for Thanksgiving. They have a food truck outside if you get hungry and always good to have some craft beer near by.

I've been a semi-regular at Three Brothers since they opened around 2 years ago, though I hadn't been in a few months. I finally made it back last week and was very pleased with the new selection of craft beer they had on tap. They normally have around 10 beers on tap, with a mix or regular, seasonal and experimental brews. Being a bit of a beer snob and spending most weekends hitting the micro breweries in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland or Pennsylvania I feel that the beer on offer here is right up there with the best. I like the ambiance of the tap room and the rotating taps and flights, though it can get quite busy on weekends and it can be a little hard to get service at the bar due to the seating there. The parking lot can also get a little busy. They also have a good range of merchandise for sale and my Three Brothers hydro flask growler that I picked up a few months back always gets some envious comments. I'm a past member of their passport loyalty scheme, which I really enjoyed and thought was great value. I signed up for their new Horizon Society, and am very excited about some of the member-only brews that will be on offer. I've been told that there will only be 500 spots in the Horizon Society and that they are going fast, so this might be the perfect Christmas gift for that beer lover in your life.

This was an unusual surprise! My husband and friends liked the craft beers! The location is in a warehouse, but quaint when you enter. The music outside was very good, but it was too chilly to be outside! The food trucks that was parked outside was very good! Small gathering place, definitely will try again when it warms up.

My group of friends has been here a number of times to hear some friends play. It's a cool environment and their beers are great. My favorites are the Resolute and Atramentous. They Have a newer one called Lil Hellion that is quite different but I enjoyed it.

We enjoyed spending a few hours this brewery. Lots of different areas to kick back and enjoy their offerings. We enjoyed all the beers we tried and we are quite opinionated about our beers. A great place to pass time while in the Burg.

We stopped here as a pit stop during the 2014 VA Hog Rally. The beer samples were very refreshing after riding all day. They had several samplers to try and loved them all.

In town to visit relatives. Enjoyed the variety of beer and laid back atmosphere. Local music talent wasn't bad at all. Especially liked the wheat beer.Great place to stop whether local or from out-of-town. Highly recommend.

I've been wanting to head over to this place for a while, and having friends there, I made the excuse. I live over in Nellysford where some call the road Alcohol Alley. Blue Mountain and The Devil's Backbone rule here, and their beer and atmosphere is great. I can always find at least one beer here that I like, but it didn't turn out that way at 3 Brothers. Now I just want to be clear that I don't think IPA's are real beer, so I went for the maltier brews they had there and maybe I'm a bit biased, but we just had a flight, and then against our better judgement, had one regular glass of one. We then packed up and went to a grocery store to bu a six pack of some beer we didn't mind paying for. I think 3 Brothers seems a bit young, and I hope they mature, because I really think they should have a gold mine there, being the only show in town. I would like to know more about the brewers and the experience he/they have.Also, they should look for food trucks that don't charge $10 for a french fry carton of nachos....kinda a rip off in that department, but I guess that's not why one goes there, but it would be nice to have some better food and prices.I'm going to make it back there again, and hopefully, I'll be able to amend my review.Take it for what it's worth....if you like it, then that's all that counts.

I was first here in the summer, and loved sipping a beer at the outside tables. I wasn't sure I'd like it in the winter, but it's wonderful to sit inside too! There is a cozy "den" with sofas and a coffee table, or be part of the action in the lively main room. Three Brothers brews outstanding beers, whether you are a hophead, or prefer the stouts and porters. We've tasted most of what they brew, and while not everyone is to my taste, they are all excellent. This is a tasting room only, no food, but they sometimes have food trucks there, and people bring in everything from pretzels to pizza to eat there. There is sometimes live music. It is a really fun place to gather with friends, or meet for an after work beer. Don't pass up the opportunity!

Had the pleasure of spending a few hours in the brew pub. All of the beers were outstanding. I am a home brewer and a bit of a beer snob. I'm eager to have more beers from this brewery and will make it a point to go again when I am in town. Note: There is no food served here. There are sodas available for kids or those that don't drink. We were there on a Sat. afternoon, and there were some kids there and it seemed appropriate for them to be there at that time. They were not a distraction or a problem. The space is large.Note for beer snobs: They look like they are doing a lot of barrel aging right now. :)

Great local brewery - variety of beers. Has TVS, room with couches, tables and a large bar. Can bring in food as there is no food service. Enjoyed our evening - all ages hang there.
