rappahannock river charters

My wife, two adult children and myself took a four hour tour of the Rappahannock River from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday June 29. We were picked-up on time at The Tides Inn. We cruised down the Rappahannock from Carter's Creek in Irvington to Deltaville and back. Captain Saunders was excellent. He is from the area so he knows all kinds of information about the various locations and families. He pointed-out various spots and told us interesting stories and facts about them. He is very professional and very personable. The trip up and down the river was beautiful and a day our family will never forget. Captain Saunders recommened a pier front restaurant in Deltaville, Cocomos / The Railway, and it was very good, we treated him to lunch. The river tour included a school of dolphins at the mouth of the river in Deltaville, really cool. We recommend this charter company very highly and think you will enjoy any experience with Captain Saunders.
