the spa at massanutten

I have some phyical problems and receive massages monthly in my hometown. While on vacation, I needed a massage, called the spa, and received a deep tissue massage with Amy. I can only say, that if I lived locally near McGaheysville, I would seek out Amy monthly for my regular massages. She is amazing - just amazing! She was able to continue with deep pressure the entire hour of massage, which is not typical. The atmosphere is so relaxing, I was offered wine upon check in (for massage) - the deep tissue was $95. I usually pay $85, so for a vacation spa, $10 more wasn't a big deal. I would highly recommend the spa. My daughter received a full spa manicaure that we were disappointed in - not at all worth the $40. The tech was quiet to the point of rude and would not speak to us, the other tech coming in and out of the nail salon, made it clear she did not want to be at work and was actually abrupt with us. My 5 stars is for the atmosphere of spa and for Amy and my massage. If I were to rate the nail salon, I would have given it 3 at best. We also took a makeup class with Michelle (through the resort), and she was amazing and took lots of extra time with us at the spa, helping us pick out colors and makeup. She does makeup and facials at the spa, and I would give her 5 stars as well!! :)
