The female bartenders will not wait on female customers. They will look right past you and wait on the males. Sad thing is women will support each other. I have been a bartender and now co-own a bar in the fan area. I tip well because I understand. My girlfriends and I made several trips to the bar counter and could not get service. The men next to us had no trouble. They were switching out left and right. Some free drinks. They never asked for their names just what could they get for them. Sad but true. Just flaunting for tips. Losing money. Was told by a regular customer after complaining that this was the trainer. Not in my establishment would this happen. That is stealing.
While the games and bowling are expensive they are worth it. The food on the other hand was not good this time at all. My food sat on the bar several minutes before being delivered. The other people in my party food arrived much later. The food simply lacked flavor and was too cool by the time it arrived.
This place has great appetizers, good drinks and excellent coverage for game times. They have tv's at each booth, and you have control over what is on. They also have a really big screen you can watch at almost any table or at the bar.I would recommend this place for food, sports, bowling and concerts.
Huge venue, bowling, sports bar..... We stopped for a quick bite at lunchtime, after the rush, found a comfortable booth in the sports bar area, we were the only patrons at the time and our server was very helpful, we chose the burgers and since it was cold and rainy outside we opted for hot tea. The service was outstanding, the burger was absolutely delicious and the tea just kept on coming! We will definitely return here,to eat and play!
Nicest bowling alley I've ever been too. They give a military discount and it's clean and has great staff. We took my niece and nephew and they loved it. There's an arcade and a really pretty restaurant as well. Nice way to spend a rainy day with the family.
Excellent atmosphere and cool concept with the sports bar/resturant and bowling alley. Service was very good and the food was good as well.
We took our two children and decided to visit this bowling alley as a change of pace. It looks as if it would be a lot of fun with the bowling alley, video games and restaurant, but it was not for us. We decided to take in a game and for a single game with shoe rentals cost us $40. We usually order food at the bowling alleys, but this time we looked at the menu and decided against this since the prices were extremely high for a family of four. Since this bowling alley is a two story alley, it made the noise level even higher. The music was blasting and caused a lot of distraction. The people that were bowling were very "snobbish" and rude, not abiding by the etiquette of bowling and respecting others. We saw a few others order meals and they were very disappointed in the quality of the food and even had to send some of the items back twice to get them prepared properly. We would not recommend this place to others, maybe if I was 30 years younger it would appeal to me, but not now or in the future.
The food was just ok. Nothing you couldn't get frozen at Costco and stick in the oven and come out with the same results. So, why, why, why did it take FOREVER (30, 45, 60 mins? I lost track) to get our lousey food? Were the servers, kitchen workers, etc. bowling in between? Don't bother.
Tried this for the music mid-week. Disappointed because ( as usual) music was so loud I could not hear most of the vocals. there was no escaping the big speakers. Even before the live music started it was loud.Food only low average in the upstairs venue. Beer selection is not very good either. Service that night was OK but not great. This is much more a younger person place and with all the games and bowling families. But for an older couple just looking for some live music and dinner not a good choice. We made it through one set and left food. I had a headache after from the loud assault on my ears.
Nice decor and plenty of bowling lanes but the food is nothing special and on the weekends, there is way too much drama inside. From country music to ghetto-fab. it has it all and all the problems in between. It's a place with an identity crisis, not knowing which crowd they want to cater to. Might be a great place for the younger crowd, but not me.......
Whether your a single and dating or a family with young children, this place has something for you. Downstairs is a sit down restaurant with a unique atmosphere including a wall that changes colors. Next door is the bowling alley for bowlers of all ages and skills. At night, the lights go down and the music comes up. Bowling is very reasonably priced. Tired of bowling? Take the kids over to the arcade, win some tickets and trade in your tickets for prizes. Don't have the kids? Head upstairs to the bar scene complete with live music. There is a huge outdoor patio that is open year round. There are also bowling lanes upstairs as well. The music is louder and you must be 21 to go upstairs. Clean and well run. When you step inside, you would think you are in a much larger city like Atlanta rather than Midlothian. You have to check it out.
Met some friends there to watch some football and have a few beers. Ate lunch there. I had the juicy Lucy burger and it was very good. My wife had the chicken wrap and she enjoyed it as well. The bonus is that kids love going there. I would highly recommend.
Had a work event at Uptown Alley - buffet lunch then bowling, pool, corn-hole...First - the food was very good - bbq chicken, potato salad, baked beans, potato chips made there - everything was great. The crowning moment - the cookies were delicious and the square brownie bites were - OMG! WOW!Bowling was great - the place is huge - lanes downstairs, and lanes upstairs. The only thing we didn't care for about the lanes....they had pictures on them - rocks, leaves, water, etc - and it was difficult to judge the lines. Wish they were just the plain wood lanes!Over all, I give it two thumbs up!!
First would like to say that I have frequented this place and very much want it to succeed. It has great potential but some serious issues.First the good- great atmosphere upstairs, upscale décor, fun atmosphere, nice technology package, live bands, decent happy hour.It pretty much stops there. I have been there over 10 times and have always walked away with a negative experience. Service is absolutely horrible. Wait staff is poorly trained and they have had terrible turnover. They clearly have no training or inadequate training in place. NEVER, did I say NEVER have I gotten a correct bill and NEVER have I received service in a timely manner. I have shifted to paying cash as I go because waiting 45 minutes for a bill and then having it be wrong every time is consistently a problem. Wait staff act as if they are doing you a favor. On weekends when there are bands, it is almost impossible to get service and logistics of going to bar area becomes an issue. Management is worthless. They walk around with headsets and act like they are productive but they do not know how to resolve issues or keep wait staff on top of things. They are often socializing with staff and very few people actually hustle. I have approached management several times with issues and never gotten a resolution without multiple follow-up. Food has gotten a little better, at least you get it hot 50% of the time now but prices are high and overall quality mediocre. Bowling area upstairs is very nice but lanes have NEVER been clean from my experience. Sticky floors when bowling are not only a problem but a safety issue. Bowling area down offer inadequate space for seating and service is plain horrible. It is hard to have a good time here when you are constantly waiting for service, getting poor service and crappy response.Place is a mix of Chucky Cheese and sports bar/lounge/club atmosphere and suffers from identity crisis. You have Chucky Cheese level staff basically operating a club. I hate to say it but expect this place is bleeding money. They have a horrible ticket system at the bar so issues are compounded by the systems in place. There is no other place in area like this. Sadly, paying for stone walls, high-end TVs and bubble tanks does not offset a consistently poor service experience. Outside seating area is great but getting service out there is even worse. My recommendation is try the happy hour and maybe some bowling on off hours. Pay cash as you go to avoid delays and incorrect bills. Get your drinks at the bar when possible. This could be a great place but until training, management and wait staff standards are raised, this place will continue to disappoint and teeter on the verge of going silent
The kids can go downstairs to bowl and play games while the adults enjoy the night life and entertainment upstairs. A wide variety of bands play on weekends to suit your entertainment needs from country to 70's 80's and today. A must if you're in Richmond !
