Unusual sight in the East, where the mountains are old and worn by time so that formations such s these are rare but the caves are not, the Shenandoah's are littered with them. Unteresting crystals and forests of stalagmites and stalactites plus it's always 56 degrees underground, so have a sweater handy if you come in summer.

Maybe there are grander caverns (Carlsbad comes to mind) but Carlsbad is quite a drive from Virginia. Just go and have fun and try not to rate whether Mother Nature was having a good, or bad day when she created this wonder.

This place has a lot of history. Beautiful and peaceful plan to spend whole day and see the zoo and all while there. Calming area and nice tour guide if want to hear the local history. The shop has some very nice local items in it as well. Worth the stop!! Well worth it!! If you love natural history and hear who has been there before you! I am not going to tell...but I looked!!

This is definitely worth your time and money to stop and take a tour of this. It is across from the Natural Bridge and will amaze you. Perfect for couples or families. We really enjoyed this place. Never having been to something like this before, it was breath-taking and awesome to view all the different crystals and minerals. The tour guide was very informative. Wear good walking shoes or boots and do not be afraid of the dark or walking underground. Definitely worth the adventure!! Plan on a good two hours here.

AMAZING! You have to see this place. The caverns are not as big as some in the area, but fascinating and very different than the others. There is a lot to see, some science to learn, some history to see, some fun to be had. Our tour guide was cute as a button and really knew his stuff! He made the tour so fun and enjoyable. Even if you've been to the bigger caverns, go see this one. It really does have a lot of features that are completely different than the others. There is a good deal of walking, but I have RA and I kept up with no real problem. Check out the caverns, then go take in the magnificence of the bridge itself. You won't regret it at all.

Very neat place to see and feels great on a hot day. Very interesting hearing the history behind the caverns well worth the money!!!!

This is a small cavern. But it doesn't matter. If this is your first caven it will inpressvive. If you have been to many caverns this could be boring. I think features like this depend on the guide. We had a young fun guide. Tip your guide on your way out. I loved this cavern though not as spectacular as others.

Natural Bridge Caverns is located in Natural Bridge, Virginia. Virginia has the largest concentration of caverns in the US. This cavern has many interesting geological features. The tour takes about an hour. There are several steps you have to climb to get to the lower levels. Our guide, Katy, was wonderful. She kept everyone's safety in mind and pointed out interesting features. I would recommend the caverns. Kids would especially getting up close and personal to bats and other critters.

If you have mobility issues you may want to think about this. It is a lot of walking especially to the end. Great places for photos and we went in Oct so the leaf change is a gift from above. Good food and a scoop of ice cream made the day. About $60 for 2 adults 1 child. 6 and under are free. About $100 for the day with lunch and ice cream.

We bought tickets to visit the caverns as part of a package for Natural Bridge. Both were a bit of a letdown given the price ($26 per adult). The caverns were neat, but the group was large and full of rude people who couldn’t follow the simple instruction of leaving the formations alone. There are about five or six rooms on the tour with several rock formations to look at. If you’ve been to Luray or Howe Caverns, you’re probably going to be let down as well. I would skip this one if I had the chance to do it again.

These were less than stellar caverns, and not worth the combo tickets from the Natural Bridge. We didn't find the guide to be terribly knowledgeable. We were rather disappointed with the cavern experience and felt it was a waste of time and money. If you choose to do it, bring a sweater/jacket and wear shoes with good tread.

This is our second visit to Natural Bridge in Virginia; and we enjoyed it again. Beautiful scenery to take photos esp. in October with fall foliage. Dogs on a leash are welcomed on the nature walk; but not allowed in the Building where you purchase tickets though. Walk to Lace Falls is an easy walk; and you can rest along the way if needed. The Indian Village is also informative/educational. Their were two attractions that are no longer available here on the property and that is the Wax Museum and the toy museum are now both closed. We were disappointed as both of those were great little extra's. We haven't been to the Caverns; just Natural Bridge. Natural Bridge has food in the Info. building and also down at the bottom of the entrance as well; but you could easily bring your own food and tailgate here.

These caverns were very interesting. When you come to a stop, be sure to look up. There are so many interesting things to see over your head--big crevices that are many stories high. It is easy to enter these caverns. We saw several brown bats that had entered to begin the hibernation process. Our guide pointed them out. They are harmless, by the way. There are several staircases in these caverns. Be sure to wear non-slip shoes as some areas are damp and slippery. Our guide recommended boat shoes. He was an extremely knowledgeable guide.

I've been to Caverns upper Virginia from here that were much better they had a lot more wide open areas and lit up with colored lights this one to me was just average.

Our guide "Ian" was a bit of a smarty. I felt that between what was advertised and shown in pictures and what we actually saw was a let down.
