Yes, from the outside it looks somewhat inviting simply because of it's appearance and is right next to the Amtrak passenger ramps. Any one who enters would like to have a historical perspective presented, and immediately looks for it. Alas, nothing is offered. There are post cards, some community flyers and two ladies were present who appeared to be more interested in talking with each other than to greet visitors. Granted its not a museum, and there is no charge to look at the very time exhibit of photographs they have out. We were hoping there was simply "more".

I have been to the train station as a traveler and also to hang out with my grandson who lives in Manassas. there is a small waiting rooms with nice, clean bathrooms. there is a ramp for wheelchairs for when we bring my handicapped husband. there is a tiny train museum.

Small but delightful train depot, with artifacts of the years gone by. Pictures and story boards. Small enough that the kids won't get to 'antsy' visiting.

Located in Old Town Manassas, you find ice skating, restaurants, shops and charm. Really nice atmosphere.

Very photogenic.Heavily used by commuters in evening and morning. Amtrak stops here as well, but no permanent staff. There's a bit of a visitor center. Public restrooms inside the waiting room.

The Manassas Amtrak/VRE Station, which was reopened in 1986 and renovated in 2014, was 100 years old in 2014 and is located in the center of quaint Old Town Manassas. Many shops and restaurants and the local Manassas Museum are all in easy walking distance. Visitors to Washington DC can stay in Manassas for much less than staying closer to the City and take the VRE Commuter Train on weekdays. 4-6 Amtrak and 16 VRE trains (M-F) stop at the station. Buses also take weekday commuters to Tyson's Corner where they can transfer to the just opened Silver Line and transfer to continue to DC or Dulles Airport (subway + connecting buses). A Thursday and Saturday Farmer's Market operate in season. The Harris Pavilion hosts many activities throughout the year.

This train station has been impeccably restored and has a nice visitor center. This is the center of what was a train depot for both the north and the south in the Civil War. It's now functional train station then one can reach from Washington DC on Amtrak or take the Amtrak to Washington. They've done a very nice job with it and it is a definite positive site in Manassas. Easily reached when walking through old town Manassas

Well restored and visitor information center with helpful staff. Train really stops here for easy access to sites in DC without driving into the city.

We used to go to the train every year (twice a year) to go to the railway festival in June and to ride with Santa in December. My kids really enjoyed it. My kids are grown, and aren't as interested anymore, but great memories. We have also met people travelling on Amtrak. I love the old look of the train station, and love how it's decorated in December. Great fun. Lots to do at the Train festival (1st Saturday in June) with lots for the entire family to do.

The historic integrity has been maintained. It is not full service, but you can purchase tickets for the VRE, just not amtrak. The VRE will get you into Union Station. It is commonly used for photo-ops for the high school kids during homecoming or prom. It is a beautiful building.

The train station is small nothing really to see. Historically it is something to see. Trains come often. There is always something going on at the pavilion. Food is very nice in town. Old town Manassas is very nice and friendly. Have Fun!!

I have lived in Manassas for many, many years but I still find new things to see and do at the Visitors Center in the Old Town Manassas Train Station. There is a small area that has some railroad history as well. The building is beautiful and really a Manassas icon!

The Manassas Train Station has the traditional appearance of years ago. It is clean and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The Depot is convenient to Old Town shopping and eateries. It's unfortunate that Amtrak has kept so few trains from departing Manassas, I think they would definitely increase their ridership if they were to open up the Northeast routes.

A working Train Station in the heart of Ole Town Manassas. What a great place to bring the little ones who enjoy trains. The place is immaculate. I have never seen such a neat and clean station area. We ate lunch across from the station which was cool to see the trains go by. I felt like a little kid myself. Definitely worth the trip.

This is still a working train station and has part of it converted into Historic Manassas info center. You will be glad you stopped in!
