good earth peanut company

Not as good as what Mr. Peanut sells and almost twice the price. Some of what I purchased just didn't cut the mustard. The salt in-shell peanuts were stale. I have purchased fresher in my super market at home 500 miles to the north.

This place is fantastic and only one mile off of 95. There are so many varieties of peanuts, pecans, and almonds, and you can sample them all. There are also very nice gift packages. It is located in an old warehouse that provides a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff cannot be more friendly and welcoming. Don't even think of passing this place by when traveling 95!

Located not far off of the highway exit in a building that look dilapidated on the outside. Great variety of nuts inside, especially peanuts, but also very high prices.

This is a great stop to break up the ride on I-95. The peanuts are great and they have dozens of samples to try. Very friendly staff, open most days at 8am. Don't miss the cotton fields across the road. The place is about a mile east of 95 near the Skippers Post Office, and there are two fine travel centers at the exit so it well worth the stop.

Love this place, you get off the I-95 and are suddenly transported back in the 1930s when times were simpler and this great place is MUST SEE, we stop there each year! Also, great photo opp! Make sure to spread the word on social media, I want this place to be there forever. The Good Earth Peanut Company has the best peanuts ever, with amazing flavors Cajun, Chocolate, etc. and great for gifts to have sent to family, which I do every Christmas.

Leaving Woodstock, Va on our way back to NC, must stop to buy at least 5lbs of our very favorite raw peanuts. We freeze them and then roast to make the best homeade peanut butter. Lots of other good stuff, too. A must stop off I95.

Ready to stretch our legs, a billboard caught our eye. Taking the exit we wondered whether driving a mile east would be worth it. Indeed! It took us to a mid nineteenth century house on the other side of the railroad tracks with processing barns behind. We were as warmly welcomed as though we came home for Thanksgiving, and encouraged to try any of the table full of samples we wanted. Not just the extra special Virginia peanuts here, but also almonds, cashews and pecans, savory, hot, sweet, buttery, and chocolate coated. We bought some yummy snack mix we ate in the car, and took home a couple of bags of peanuts in the shell - regular and Cajun. I brought home a catalogue and made a shopping list for next trip.

We travel I95 several times a year and stop here to shop for nuts. It is only a couple of minutes off the interstate. The chocolate covered peanut brittle is our favorite, and all the nut products are excellent. There is a large variety, and you can sample before you buy. The staff is very helpful.

Just happened upon this gem driving south on 95. Billboard attracted our attention. So glad we stopped Staff was very friendly suggesting samples. We thought the prices were reasonable and there was a great selection of products

My spouse and I stopped at the Good Earth Peanut Shop because we wanted peanuts for the holidays. We had been by there many times without stopping in. I am so glad we finally did. I have bought peanuts all over North Carolina and NONE compared to these. Delicious. They had a huge variety and all different sizes too. On top of that, the lady was so very nice and helpful. They were out of some of some sizes because they had been so busy all day. So she called over to the packing area and had them brought over to us. I am glad they are busy because they deserve it. Stop and taste. You won't be disappointed. Try the dark chocolate dried cherry candy. With a glass of red wine, heaven.

We had the best time at The good Earth Peanut Company! Scott was awesome letting us sample so many of their products as well as educate our family on their family business & peanuts. This is definitely a neat place to visit and support. Thank you Scott!!!

If you like peanuts you will love your choices here. Many samples to try and then buy. Our disappointment came from the not very helpful lady behind the counter. Yes, she offered samples but that was about it. It sure would have been nice for her to say if you like this one, they are located over here and our main sellers are over here. We tried to read the small signs for the one type we wanted and finally had to ask where they were located. But all in all...the peanuts are very good.

After reading the reviews on TA I decided to purchase my RV fuel at Exit 4 in Skippers, VA and then go one mile up the road to the Good Earth Peanut Company. there was just enough room for my RV and tow vehicle and the small rough country store was terrific. Over 40 samples you were encouraged to try by a very kind lady and then you had your choice of SIZE of can to purchase. Since we wanted a half dozen varieties we elected on the small containers, but if you like one or two types, the better buy is the large can. They mail order as well. This was a delicious repast from the boring I-95 drive and I am very thankful other Trip Advisors shared this neat attraction.Cheap gas and great nuts. Bourbon flavored pralines was my favorite and my wife liked the chocolate splendor.

The Good Earth Peanut Co. was spur of the moment stop after we saw a little sign on the side of I-95. We are glad we did. They have samples of all their different nut products and we went home with quite a few.

This place was awesome I couldn't stop putting nuts in my mouth. Chocolate covered, toffee covered, mixed,brittle,and even some hot ones. Wasabi so so hot. It doesn't stop with nuts they have trail mix chocolate covered cherries and raisins variety of jams cashew pecans peanuts raw peanuts roasted peanuts too much to list but more then enough to get your salivating. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and tons of free samples. My suggestion buy one of everything or have it shipped home and they do gift baskets. I am so happy I stopped at its right off the exit for this charming quaint little place
