Been to most of them...but this one has that "warm Fall glow"... the best!!! Been going for years with children, and now the nine grandchildren. The folks that run it cannot be any friendlier. The wagon ride is the best....through the 70 some acres of property. The sky is tall, and you are surrounded by mountains!!! God's country indeed. Can't go wrong....guaranteed!!!
This is our "go to" fall pumpkin trip every year! Our 3 kids love it so much! The farm is so beautiful, the family is very friendly and helpful and the cost is reasonable. I always take a ton of pictures here, my kids don't stop smiling the entire time!!!
Kid friendly fun for the whole family. Yearly tradition for us. Cant say enough good things about them. They truly make fall a special event to enjoy. Love the farm and the corn!
Went here last year with DD who was 6. She had a grand time on the slides and hayride. We enjoyed the food and scenery. Awesome place to enjoy all Fall has to offer with a family that really makes you feel welcome!
My kids have so much fun here every fall. There is so much to do for all ages. Great value too! I have as much fun as the kids and look forward to taking them every year.
Jeter farm offers everything you want for a perfect fall experience! The hayride takes you over a hill and offers a beautiful view of the area where you'll then be dropped off by a corn maze that leads you out to a pumpkin patch where you'll get a free mini pumpkin. The activities for the children are perfect and lots of fun, while the petting zoo is perfect for all ages. We enjoyed cider and their gift shop as well as a wide variety of pumpkins of all sizes and other fall decor. Definitely worth the admission ($8) which is a steal compared to other farms in the area.
Wide array of activities for just $7 entry fee (less expensive--and w/fewer additional attraction fees--than nearby Layman's). Our 3 yr old son loved the hayride, simple corn maze, pumpkin train ride, and pony ride--not to mention enjoying picking pumpkins. The corn maze is more like a corn path than a maze with dead ends--great for small children, still big enough to have the feel of a giant corn maze. Hayrides run steadily and take guests to maze, pumpkin patch, pumpkin train, and slides. Some animals to view. Friendly atmosphere. Would be outstanding for a fall children's party. Easy drive down 460 from Roanoke, Bedford.
If you are looking for an inexpensive family activity, go to Jeter Farm. For $7 per person, you are able to ride the hayride as many times as you want. You can enjoy the 2 slides that are in the pumpkin patch. You can check out the farm animals. Take a walk throught the corn maze. Dress up in silly hats, boas, and glasses and take pictures using the "house" backdrop. Pick your own small pumplin. And if you are a young vistor, you can enjoy a pony ride, take a dive in the shelled corn, or milk a wooden cow. If the small pumpkin isn't meeting your needs, larger pumpkins are for sale that are only $0.30 per pound. I got a big pumpkin for $4.50. The people are friendly and make you feel like you are visiting family. The great thing about this pumpkin patch is that even older visitors can enjoy the hayride. They have built stairs that make it easy to get on and off of the hayride. In our family outing we had 2 folks in their 70s that were able to enjoy the hayride because of the access steps. It really made this outing a true activity that eveyone could enjoy.
Hay rides and great fun for the kids and the young at heart set in the beautiful mountains of SW Virginia. Educational as well as entertaining.
