Now they have a band stand, dance floor, and over night lodge. Near Lake Benbrook. Riding trails go along the lake shore and through the park and woods.

Surprised my girlfriend with her first horseback riding experience here while we were visiting family in the Ft. Worth area. It was a great time and my girlfriend loved it! I called a few hours in advance and made reservations easily. The stables were easy to find and fun to walk around while we were waiting for our scheduled ride. We paid our $40 per person in cash (they are cash only) and signed the waiver forms before heading out on our hour long ride. We saddled up right next to the office and were told by our guide specifically which horses we would be on. He helped us onto our horses right after giving us a few directions on how to actually ride. Once we and the other few couples were all on the horses, we headed out the back of the property towards the wooded park area. We followed the guide along an easy trail that had a small brook crossing and a few small hills. The trail led through a small wooded area and into an old park area where we crossed a paved road and went up a small hill with nice views. The horses were easy to ride and would follow each other pretty well, sometimes so close we came to understand the real meaning of "tailgating!" Our guide was very nice and easy to talk to as we traveled along the trail. He even helped us get a few good photos of my girlfriend and I on our horses at the end of the ride even when the horses didn't want to cooperate. Overall it was a fun experience that we would do again. The horses were very well behaved and easy to ride and the staff was very friendly.

Benbrook Stables in Benbrook, Tx offers everything from trail rides to English and Western riding lessons, to full and self-care boarding for your personal horses(s).We have taken the trail rides several times as a family and my son, who is a beginner, took Western riding lessons there. We were very pleased with the trail rides, though the horses were a little too passive and barn sour. The horses my son rode for lessons were more responsive.I recommend taking lessons at Benbrook Stables and very much recommend the trail ride which winds through Dutch Branch Park by Benbrook Lake. The cost is a little high at $50.00 per person per hour (they more than likely have increased the price of the ride.) per rider. It's a beautiful ride in a lovely area outside the city and well worth the cost!

Nephew had this as his wedding venue. It was lovely, casual, beautiful area for a family event. Sparkling lights in the trees, nice dance area, very peaceful place for adults and children alike!

We recently held our daughter's wedding reception at the Benbrook Stables and could not have been happier with how things turned out. The campfires, bon fire, and roaring fire in the fireplace, along with the twinkling lights made for a magical setting. Everything was as promised, the setting was as our daughter imagined, and the owners and staff were nothing but helpful.

Benbrook Stables is the Best. The customer service is great. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable about the horses. The horses are well taking care of and very welled trained. We Love Benbrook Stables and will be back in the future. Pam M

We had our daughter's party here a year ago, plus she did 2 of the summer camp sessions there. We had a great experience. The party had plenty of horses and handlers. The same horses were used from a party right before ours, but they were just fine. I think horses can handle a lot more than we think! The summer camp was crowded but she had lots of fun and she learned how to act around a horse. They covered all the basics, plus they required all the younger kids wear helmets.I like the place. We'll definitely be back next summer, if not before!

Lazy front office management. Had by husband's 50th birthday party here. NOT AGAIN...Did not send contract agreement, did not review details of agreement, demanded cash on day of service, space heater preordered not working, flies everywhere, no paper towels in bathroom, treated the band with disrespect and did not provide assistance in loading and unloading. Better service at other venues. If you have 10 people to help haul your stuff to the back pavilion, go ahead.

Best date of my life! My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary with a morning of riding. Horses are perfect. They are great riding horses, they don't just follow each other. They are so pretty and well cared for even in this August heat, you stay in the shade in the creeks and can only go on morning rides. They said we can ride in the afternoons again in September The people are hilarious. Our guide made our ride so much fun, but let us just hang out together too. I rode chula and james rode Harry. They were amazing. We will definitely go back over and over

I had my twin boys birthday party here and was blown away by the organization. The employes were very friendly and seemed to have fun interacting with the kids. Despite the 100 degree day the shaded area and activities distracted the effects of the heat. My boys are already asking to do their party next year!

I have been going to Benbrook for a couple months now for horseback riding lessons. All of the staff have been very helpful with me. I have worked with 5 different people all helpful in me learning to ride better. They all know I want to run barrels, including Molly the owner and after every lesson she goes over what I've learned. All of the make sure I understand what they are trying to teach. I love the variety of horses I get to ride because no horse will ever be the same and makes me better at over horsemanship. On days it has been rainy we have gone over horse care which isn't so exciting as learning barrels but still something I need to know if when I get my own horse. They have a very hands on approach and Ive gotten to saddle my own horse, wash him/her, but them out. They have all genuinely taken an interest in what I am learning and helping be become a better rider. I have loved every lesson I've had and will continue to go this stable as long as I am in the Fort Worth area.

I boarded my horse here for a while, and I have to say that I am overall very disappointed in the management here and the care they give their horses. The woman in the office is extremely rude, and many times I heard her discussing matters regarding other boarders and employees in front of other customers. I thought this was very unprofessional. As far as boarding, if you want to do self-care and keep your horse in a stall, then the facility is great! However, if you want your horse to be turned out at all, I would HIGHLY advise to look elsewhere. Horses daily come in with scrapes and bite marks on them, some not too bad, and some severe. The hay that is provided by the barn to boarded horses is terrible quality (moldy and very dusty), and both pastures are full of broken glass, old wires and other debris. The owner will not work with you at all if you are concerned about your horse getting beaten up in the pasture or paddock. The lesson and trail horses are tied to the rail saddled all day long without any hay to eat until their 10+ hour day is over(after which they are put in the paddock, fed grain and immediately locked off of the hay). Many of them only get a few minutes of hay a day. Although, they probably prefer this to the small, crowded paddock that they live in every day otherwise where they all get battle wounds as a result of too many overworked horses in a small area around just 2 round hay bales. The horses frequently charge, bite and kick each other throughout trail rides, which can be very scary for inexperienced riders. I have even seen employees be charged and kicked at by their so called "gentle" lesson and trail horses in the paddock.

We had both of our daughters birthday party here and we had a fantastic time. From riding the horses, to the bounce house and the hayride, all the kids forgot it was super hot! Thank you to the owners for making sure everything was perfect. You might see some of the girls coming back for lessons! Our 6 year old daughter also takes riding lessons and she has learned so much. We love it here!

Wonderful facility and people. Could not have asked for a more pleasant day rising the horses and visiting with the owners and boarders. Such a lovely place to take the family for the afternoonI would recommend the stables to everyone

Everyone at Benbrook Stables, Owners, Management and Staff are very saddened by this reviewers comments. We offer such an outstanding service to our clients and strive to do the very best job we possibly can. We do so, not only for our customers but for all of our horses as well. Whether they are a boarders horse, trail horse or one of our lesson horses. Our horses are our family. They are our reasons for working here and doing what we do. We love and treat them with the utmost respect, love and affection. We care for them like no other in the industry. They are well fed, well trained, groomed daily, washed and cooled at the end of each summer day, and blanketed on cold winter nights. They are loved as they should be and never harmed, treated poorly or neglected for any reason, ever. All of our lesson and trail horses are turned out to their own 15 acre pasture. They have access to 500 gallon water tanks and free range hay. They are brought up each morning(around 8am) to a smaller pen to be fed and kept where we can easily get to them for the days work. There are always at least 2 round bales for them to munch on while in the pen. After their afternoon feeding (around 2pm ) they are turned back out to pasture for the evening. We have used the same supplier of hay for over 15 years from beautiful irrigated hay fields around Cleburne and Fort Worth. We would never jeopardize the health of our horses using bad, dusty or moldy hay. (that could actually kill them. Not a good idea on our part)No horse or employee has ever or will ever work a 10+ hour day. Our trail rides begin at 10 am and the last ride begins at 4pm. The stables is only open from 8 to 5. During the Summer Months, we are busy with kids camps from 9 to 1 in the afternoon so trails are limited. During late July and August, trails and lessons are only available from 9am to 11am. We do not offer any later riding due to the heat.Of course horses will bite and kick each other occasionally on the trail. That is definitely the nature of horses. However it is a very rare occasion and we have never in 15 years had any horse cause any type of injury to another horse or rider from kicking or biting each other. If we have a trail horse that kicks, that horse is given to the guides to ride for a few weeks, until he learns not to kick at the other horses. We encourage anyone reading this review to please come see for yourself. We are very proud of our horses and our stables. We encourage you to go to our website at benbrookstables.com and see current pictures of our facilities as well as a picture of every trail and lesson horse we have here at the barn.We have also posted many pictures and videos here on Trip Advisor to further show our horses and facilities. Thanks so much for reading our response, we hope you will come and see of stables for your self and enjoy an afternoon with us!!
