The American Freedom Museum is a Smithsonian quality museum. Amazing and very large. Would not expect a C-47 and a Huey Helicopter inside. Great place to see and experience.

This museum is excellent. There are two parts - the hall of presidents and the museum of American freedom. I was blown away by everything - it really wasn't what I expected. The collection of presidential memorabilia is impressive and the history of American armed conflicts is both sobering and informative. The museum is housed in a building on the campus of a private school in Bullard, TX. Give yourself plenty of time to see everything - 2 to 3 hours is about right. My only complaint would be the hours of operation. Check to make sure it's open before making the trip.

Steve Demitt is probably one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. Totally understated, a SERVANT at the core. The fact that he has shared his private collection of American History with the public is remarkable...not to mention having founded The Brookhill School, where the Freedom Museum is housed.

We enjoyed this museum with the Hall Of Presidents. American History is covered from American Revolution through Iraq and Afghanistan. Plenty of object from each period in American History. We wished we would have allocated more than 3 hours to visit. Adults were $6.00 each which is reasonable. It's located on the grounds of The Brook Hill School.

We really enjoyed this museum and wished we had arranged our day to have more time to spend there. there is so much to see. There is a special hall dedicated to the US presidents and a signature from each is available to view. American history is covered from Jamestown to the present day with lots of artifacts. If you enjoy history, then plan on stopping here.

First class exhibits of US history. Plan to spend a few hours here. Well worth your time. Limited hours due to its location on a private school campus. Just down the road from Tyler, an easy drive.

I have been to this museum several times and it is fantastic. The American Freedom Museum covers wars from the Revolutionary War to the War on Terror with artifacts, huge displays and easy to read explanations. It's on the campus of a private school but open to the public. They also have a collection of artifacts from every U.S. President along with information about them. This is a beautiful museum and only a short 15 minute drive from Tyler. Here's the web page for more info. http://www.americanfreedommuseum.org/
