There is none comparable as we often travel Texas by RV. Reservations online during busy season are highly recommended at this park, unless standing in line at the office at 8 am, waiting for cancellations is enjoyable. The spacious RV sites we enjoy, are close to the water, where we often fish from the doorway of the RV. Not many camp sites anywhere offer that unique ambiance. Wildlife is prolific, which indicates that the countless creatures, which includes migratory birds and their unique songs, enjoy this location as well as humans. Children, camping in groups and family structures, form memories that will last their lifetimes. Bring bikes, this place is big. Texas State Park Pass pays for itself, offers free camping nights, as numbers of stays increase. Free fishing with Texas State Park Pass, as well as free admission, pays for the package during extended stays accumulated at each Texas state Park. The store offers a 10% discount as well. This applies to their rentals of canoes, kayaks, pedal boats. Chris' Landing sells large tasty burgers, as well as offers 'Star Parties' during the busy season. Ink's Lake is convenient to the circle tour that includes Marble Falls. We plan for a stay of several nights at Ink's Lake alone, as we traverse Texas and it's welcoming State Park system.

I caught some good sized bass at around 11pm on red colored plastic worms and some perch on live worms.

When I visited the guide for the interpretive trail had not yet arrived. Print it off after downloading it online. The campground office closed early so arrive before 5. The campground store sells tourist junk and junk food along with fishing tackle and bait. Boat rentals and even fishing gear may be rented. The picnic tables had been visited by too many birds and not cleaned. Those caveats aside the park was quiet when I went and the views from the hiking trail excellent.

This State Park is real nice place for a day or longer.It is very clean park with great views of the lake and hills. They keep the lake level all the time and a great place to fish,swim or boating.They do have a golf course,but I don't play golf.If you like wild life this is the place,the deer will come right up to you It would be worth time to come here.It will cost you to come in the park,but worth every cent.

This is a must-see state park, including the overlook of Devil's Hole, on Park Road 4. Great hookups for RVs and tents, a pretty good little general store. Even if you just go for the day, don't miss going into the nice clean lake.

You can really appreciate the peacefulness of this lake. Cool refreshing waters to swim, fish and canoe. But if you are looking for thrills then you came to the right place too. They have a creek that runs into the lake where you can choose your cliff to jump into the cool waters. I recommend the lake to everyone. I went as a child an had a great time, a memory that I will never misplace. I now am ready to take my family there for a vacation.

The scenery as well as the wildflowers which were just starting to bloom were both stunning. Even though I was just there for a few hours, I was amazed at the beauty and diversity of the scenery. The campsites were wonderful with many overooking the water. I used a restroom in one of the camping areas and was surprised how clean they were and dthat they had hot showers. Looked like a great place to spend time with the kids or grandchildren. The place is large so be sure to get one of the excellent maps at the checkin area.

Inks Lake is one of our favorite locations for paddling. It's located on a State Park and the facilities are some of the most comprehensive and well maintained I've seen.The lake itself is mostly a constant-level lake, the water is clean and clear, and there are lots of wildlife to see. There is a good boat ramp on the State Park property. Another plus is there's very low powerboat traffic. Inks is a great place.

We take our kayaks out to Inks frequently. Love it. Clean waters, easy to paddle and the State Park is right there! Low boat use so one doesn't feel crowded with all the seadoo wakes.

My mum and I hiked a loop track that my mum found to be very difficult underfoot. It was very rocky, with some steep patches and some tall steps. More information about the difficulty of the tracks would have been useful. Great tracks though for those who are fit enough. Nice scenery!
