I will first state that I've been to many hockey games and events at this center over the years. Recently, I accidently purchased hockey tickets to the incorrect game via Livingsocial.com voucher deal. I called the Cedar Park Center to exchange my tickets from Sunday to a Tuesday night hockey game(very low attendance/plenty of tickets). Management basically told me they couldn't do it and they hope to see me out at the game on Sunday. Horrible customer service! I went up the management chain and finally got someone to very reluctantly give me Tuesday game tickets. Management lied to me telling me they couldn't cancel the Sunday tickets and exchange for Tuesday tickets. I know because I took all four Sunday tickets I didn't want by myself up to the Sunday game just to see if they worked. The tickets didn't. Coincidently, management had me removed from ALL Texas Stars and other email distributions for ticket deals and center events which I liked. Very unprofessional and I'll never go back to that center again.
We attend various hockey games and concerts at the Cedar Park Center. It's a great venue that attracts big name acts (We've seen Carrie Underwood, Brantley Gilbert, Bastille just to name a few). The upside- easy to get to, not a bad seat in the houseThe downside (depending on the event)- Cost of parking. Hockey games used to be $10 per car. Now they've added the price of parking to each ticket sold, so the price of tickets has gone up a lot. Used to be you could get tickets for $12-$13 per person, now they're up in the $20s for the cheapest tickets. Definitely makes it tougher to bring the family for a night out at that price!
This is the first time we have been to the Cedar Park center or Ice Hockey. What a great time we had! The building is amazing with GREAT seats, Great Layout, Great Food and everyone who worked there was friendly & helpful! The parking was included with the ticket price which was very reasonable. Pro Football, Basketball & Baseball are geared only for the rich these days, so Ice Hockey is a great alternative for people who have children. It's a smaller venue & learning the rules of this Hockey game was fun. There were lots of DIE HARD Fans there and we fell right in to the family type atmosphere. IT WAS THE BOMB!!! I would recommend this place & Hockey to anyone...I have found my new pastime!!! Bring your Family & Friends & support "the STARS"
We have seen basketball, hockey and the circus here. Great parking, lots of entrances, friendly staff. I would like to see better quality concession choices for the prices they charge. This taints the overall experience hence only 4 stars.
First time to visit Cedar Park Center, it was an outstanding venue for the Ben Hur Shrine Circus. The place makes all the act seem close and intimate. It was a great circus and nice place to have the circus.
While Baseball may be my first sporting love, hockey comes a close second. Have seen my share of major and minor league games. This is among the better minor league arenas. Easy access on and off the highway, plenty of parking, which was free the night we went, and a great hockey game. Not a bad seat in the house, and the crowd was very into the game. Mostly a family atmosphere, not quite the major league demographic that we see in NHL games. But a wonderfully fun and delightful night. We'll go again!!
There is not a bad seat in the house. If you are going to hockey game better wear a coat, it get pretty cold in there. Snack are a little expense but not to bad for the conveyance, there is a good verity. Parking is $10 so be ready. Great family night
People often talk about places not having a bad seat in the house. This is one of the only places I can think of where that's actually the case. I've seen hockey, basketball, monster trucks, and "Walking with Dinosaurs" there and sat front row to the back row. Great seats every time.
This is a nice venue. It is large enough but yet small enough so all seats are good. Food and beverage are good, prices are average. Good parking, great staff. BUT this place had to be designed by women. The place holds thousands and they have beer special. So Beer in and then beer out. One would think they would have had more than two men's room. Between periods of the hockey games the lines at the men's room are twenty deep. So my advise is don't wait till you have to go, go when you need to.
Was not a fan of having designated seats for family. Security acted like we needed to be watched at all times and not in a good way. Had to wait for 20 minutes for the scorekeeper to get the correct app to score the game-bush league. We won, so that's saying something, facility is nice, but not friendly to players early am.
Wow- my family and I love this venue. No bad seats anywhere. We have enjoyed minor league hockey, basketball and rodeo events at the CPC. We've see A list entertainers, musicians/ bands perform here. After living I giant cities and seeing major league baseball, NBA basketball, Major league Hockey and other entertainment venues I would say this. All of those major city venues offer major traffic and parking problems. CPC is easy to get to, easy to park and outstanding seating. This is the BEST venue I've ever been in. Go, check it out. You'll be so happy u did.
Went to a Stars hockey game. Kids enjoyed it because of the sensory overload. Lots of lights and noise and breaks in the action. Didn't like paying to park considering the center is out in the sticks and public transportation is sub par in the Austin area. Basic sports arena experience, not bad, not great. As usual expect to be nickel and dimed to death.
I've been to the Center for a circus, Disney on Ice, and Cirque du Solei, and have never found a bad seat in the house. The design is such that no matter where you sit, you have a great view of whatever is going on down on stage. I prefer it to a larger venue because it is so much easier to get around for snacks or the restroom. The larger ones take too much time from the show to find the bathroom or just get a quick snack.
We have gone to see Cirque du Solei, a regular Circus and our daughter's graduation was also held in there. It is nice, new and plenty of parking. The food though... is very expensive. Definitely overpriced
I have been to the Cedar Park Center many times since living in Austin. I have been here for a hockey game, Cirque du Soleil twice and I took my niece to see Disney on Ice here too. Each time I come to this venue I have a different experience depending on who has the venue at that time. The food and drink prices are on average with what they should be for any sports venue. Overall each experience has been good but I have some pointers for those who are interested in hearing them. #1 It can be cold so bring a jacket or sweater. #2 You will usually have to pay for parking. It has been about $10 each time I go. #3 There's a bar inside (not sure if its open all the time but it was for the hockey game)#4 Good seating choices. The venue is small, in my opinion, so there aren't really any "bad seats" in the house. The venue is clean and the people who work there are nice. I would definitely recommend this venue for any shows, concerts, or hockey games.
