Looking for a great place to Golf? How about the country Club! All the plans that are happening now are sure to WOW you. The event staff (Rachel) is the best of the best.
Nice facilities. Nothing extravagant. Golf is pretty wide open. Greens are pretty well kept. Bunkers need a lot of work. No forced carrys. Most out of bounds are only for pretty wayward shots. Nice pool and tennis area.
We live in the neighborhood, and the membership goes with the house and the HOA. We have also been golf members and been to the Country Club a lot. As far as the restaurant portion of the Club, we like to go for the Thursday Night All-You-Can-Eat Prime Rib Night. On those nights you can order off the menu or have the prime rib. The dining room is packed early on and thins out toward 8-8:30. The prime rib is very good, carved to order. With the prime rib, they usually offer a veggie, baked potatoes with the fixings and salad. The service is always friendly and usually prompt, although they do get overwhelmed at times. Regardless of the service, you'll get charged 18% gratuity automatically. Menu items are very limited and, in my opinion, over-priced. The dining room itself is rather dated, with a bar at one wall and TVs with the Golf Channel or a Rangers game showing throughout the room. It can get a little noisy if the bar is full and getting later in the evening. Dress is much more casual than I would expect (I'm thinking shirts with collars, no tennis shoes, no jeans) but you pretty much see everything from T-shirts to jeans and sneakers for dinner. The chairs and tables are worn and need updating, as does the whole facility. I know this isn't a high-society place, and I wouldn't want that, but I would think that with as much as we pay in HOA fees, the facility would be a bit more plush and modern. Then, it would be a more special place, deserving of the prices they charge.
I have been going to Oakmont for many years; our bar association has its monthly lunches there. I have worked with the staff countless times for many, many events, and they have always bent over backwards to meet our every need and request, always with the cheeriest and most helpful attitude and graciousness. Recently, because of our experiences with the bar meetings, we have joined Oakmont and the quality has continued. It is a beautiful facility, the food is consistently delicious, and the staff is so nice. While country clubs sometimes have the reputation of being snobbish, this one makes everyone feel, whether a member or not, that they are very welcome there.
I like to have dinner with my family in the restaurant in Oakmont Country Club because of the nice atmosphere and excellent service. The menu has little to offer and can seem a bit pricy, but the service and atmosphere make up for what the menu lacks. I have not attended a wedding or large event here, but have seen some in passing, and they look very beautiful and well managed.
nice setting but overpriced. should offer better selection and value. It's not a country club but rather should be a family restaurant as many families live nearby.
I was there for my cousin's wedding & it was absolutely lovely. The set up was simple.. no problem finding the banquet hall or restrooms. And there is a lovely pond the reception hall overlooked.
