Bell Springs Winery was a great place to go for my first wine tasting! Being in town to celebrate a friend's birthday, we were looking for a great place to visit. This place was recommended by a local resident, and it did not disappoint! We got to meet the owner, and he walked us through the tasting. He even allowed us to sample one of his newest wines before it was even on the market! The people here were so nice and I would definitely go back if given the chance!

There are many wonderful wineries and vineyards in the greater Austin / Dripping Springs area. Most of them are very wonderful and unique. Bell Springs is top on my and my wife Stacy's list of the most wonderful, friendly, and charming. If you ever find yourself in Dripping Springs, add Bell Springs Winery to you list of must see attractions. Spend a relaxing hour or two there, it will be a time very well spent.

The $7 tasting fee was a little off-putting at first, but hubby and I split a tasting as we often do. We still had plenty to evaluate the wines available that day for tasting, and all seven wines were great except the Drippin' Sweet Red, which is made for a different type of wine drinker than us! We particularly enjoyed the 2012 Dolcetto and the Merlot, and came home with a bottle of the Dolcetto--which by the way absolves you of the tasting fee (one person's tasting fee per bottle). We'll be enjoying that bottle at home after we leave Texas. The winery is easy to find on your way to Fredericksburg in the town of Dripping Springs, a bedroom community of Austin. There are probably 25 wineries between Austin and Fredericksburg, but we felt that we had already experience a truly great one, and did no additional tastings. You can if you want, but don't miss Bell Springs!

I drive by this place al the time so I finally decided to stop in. Really friendly folks, pretty place, unique wines. The wines here seem a little sweeter than most in this area, but they have some regular wines as well. All were pretty good, I bought a couple bottles to take home.Check it out, it's worth it.

Of the four wineries we visited today, this may have been our favorite. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and tasting pours were generous. We bought a couple of bottles and some other merchandise. Recommend!

This cute winery is owned by a great husband/wife team. The winery is nestled in a cedar "forest" and the perfect place to "take a load off," and relax. They often times have live music on the patio which just adds to the experience.

We visited several wineries on the Hill Country Wine Trail today, and this was our least favorite. Not to say it was bad, just lesser. The wines are complex, but some are almost bitter, like uber tannin. But, they had a couple we liked. I just found myself using the wine spittoon a lot there rather than finishing them. They had a simple, but nice little cheese tray. The hostess was very knowledgable about the wines, and Austin music. Probably a great vibe for the hipster crowd.

My wife & I stopped in for a tasting on a Saturday around noon. They have a great winery, & I liked how they have a small & intimate tasting room. They have some great reds, & their tasting fees are applied to your wine purchases. Their design they have on their bottles, is very unique as well.

We went on the Dripping Springs wine tour and went to Bell Springs winery first. Wished we had made this our last stop, later in the afternoon because the property is so nice and has a lot of tables under the trees to sit and relax and sip on their wines. We did order the cheese plate which was very good and had plenty of cheese for 2-4 people. Staff was friendly too.

Our friend was recently married at Bell Springs Winery. The location is scenic and tucked away just a few miles outside Dripping Springs. All of the staff were super friendly and made you feel welcome at home. There was an area outside for the ceremony with a beautiful pagoda. Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed trying out their wines. It was a beautiful evening we will not forget.

we did a spur of the moment winery tour of dripping springs area and came upon this winery. there's a reason i've never heard of it. i could barely get this wine down...any of the samples. sheesh. all the wineries we've been to in the area have had at least 1 or 2 wines that i really liked but this one left a LOT to be desired. we were there just long enough to have a tasting and left.

This winery is located outside of Dripping Springs and easy to find. We arrived just after 11 on a Sat. so beat the crowd. It is very casual environment in lovely, country setting but very clean and inviting. Chanel greeted us warmly and promptly began the tasting. We shared tasting which was 7 wines for $7 and if you buy a bottle of wine the tasting is free. The wines were unique and a nice selection. Since it was around lunch we ordered the cheese and meet plate for $15 and it was enough for the two of us along with a bottle of Merlot. We sat on the beautifully shaded patio area. There is also a covered deck with tables and another covered area with casual seating. The ground are landscaped tastefully and the breeze was an added bonus on a TX afternoon. The setting is serene and peaceful and we enjoyed our visit. We were allowed to bring out little dog on leash into the tasting room. We asked Chantel to take our photo and she graciously agreed:) Thanks for a lovely, memorable visit.

It was 85 degrees on June 15th at the winery so that in itself is a small miracle for June in Texas. We shared a wine tasting flight and then sat and listened to Cheryl Murdock who recently released "Late Bloomer". She's a very good singer. Do stop by and enjoy the little winery in Hill country.
