A small town zoo/drive thru wildlife park. A lot of animals. the drive trails are a little rough and there are no divisions between the animals, so you may see the same animal more than once.

I went to Franklin Drive Thru Safari last week. About 4 or 5pm in the afternoon, there goes out some female peacock. So all the male spread their tails. So beautiful. They turn around and round, and sometimes shake their tails. Later, when the time near sunset, peacocks fly to the tree to sleep. At that time, you will have chance to see how peacock fly!!

Fun drive through safari! They have quite a few different species that you can feed right from your car window. We bought a huge bucket of feed and drove through twice. At the entrance, you can get out and walk around to pet various animals, including a giraffe, baby camels, and farm animals. Entrance fee is reasonable and the experience is well worth it.

Only a few minutes NW of College Station, it is a great thing to do with family and kids if you are in the area. They have some 400 animals, the majority are your typical farm animals: goats, cows, chicken. But they do have some more interesting animals like zebras, monkeys, wallabys and monkeys. The white buffalo is majestic. Llamas and camels are funny and interesting. The highlight of the trip was the young zebra, she was so friendly and beautiful.

My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday. It is about a 1.5 hour drive from our home. I had low expectations since I really could not find too much info, and there was one really bad review on here. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. My kids (and my husband) loved it. I loved taking pictures of them loving it (my hand in a slobbery mouth has no appeal whatsoever).First of all, every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The animals were not in small cages (except maybe the monkeys). We decided to walk around first and stretch our legs after the car ride. My kids enjoyed feeding the various goats, wallaby's, emus, etc. I even went back to the gift shop to get special food so they could feed the young giraffe. I had to drag everyone away to get back in the car and do the drive-thru part. Note to parents with little children, have them go to the bathroom before you do this!It was so nice, we were the only car entering the safari so we could drive at our leisure. Big buffalo and camels headed our way immediately. We were nervous, not knowing how the animals would be and I think our 4 yr old sensed our hesitancy. She started crying and said she wanted to go home. I let her crawl into my lap (I was driving) and reassured her that it was okay, and that my window was shut so no animal would get near here. Of course, with all the crying, she had to go to the bathroom, and our car was surrounded by animals. So, I had her climb all the way to the back of the suburban and we used the feed bucket they had given us as a make-shift potty. Once back there with her big brother, and knowing no animal would get to her, she had a great time. She was even waving bye bye to all the animals as we left. The animals were very friendly, and they were beautiful. I don't know the name of this one antelope, but it was beautiful, tall and had huge eyes. It had no problem sticking its head all the way in our window. The only incident (for lack of a better word) was that a black llama spit at my daughter. The other white llama, who had a baby with her, was super friendly and very soft. This is a hidden gem. If you are ever in the area, it is worth a stop.

At first I thought maybe I was seeing things on our drive home from Jefferson. However when we turned around, we saw all the different assorted animals and decided to stop by. We had a great time. Thought the prices were reasonable and it was a pleasant surprise. The animals all looked comfortable and well fed. If I'm ever in the area, I will stop and visit again.

First off 4 staff were super rude and mean. several cages look as if they have not been cleaned for weeks or months. animals are in too small of cages especially having 6 camels in about a 12 by 20 cage. this place needs revamped or closed down for the animals welfare and happiness.

The price is high and feed is extra, and the place is filthy! Yes they have picnic tables, covered in poop. Gross....

The animals had dirty water if any water at all. The monkeys looked sad and bored. There was a big trough with baby ducks that had no water to get in, their drinking water was turned over and the one left for them that was not turned over was nearly empty and very dirty. I was very disappointed with all the clutter and left over junk lined up for all to see that should have been put away out of sight! It looked like it was nice when they first opened but gone downhill since. Will not go back or recommend the place.Plus they had an otter with no water for it to get in at all.Linda from Bryan

My husband and I visited last year and returned with our granddaughter and we all enjoyed it again. It is a bit unorganized but once you pay to pass through the gates you can circle through as many times as you like. As long as you plan a day when the heat isn't too bad the animals are very interested in meeting you. I've been to bigger drive through parks of this type and left disapointed that all the animals were no where to be seen. Not here; they love to see you as much as you love seeing them.

It is so sad to see intelligent animals like monkeys living in really small cages... Please don't support this kind of businesses

Me and my husband enjoyed this place. I wouldn't say it smells that bad as I read before. I would especially recommend to visit this safari if u've got children. These guys charge if u want to feed animals and it's worth spending couple dollars. Location isn't a best place and it doesn't look like they make enough money to survey animals as they could if the place were more populated. But if u can get here it's gonna be an interesting experience!)

The animals were fun to look at and you could pet and feed a few. Admission is high and doesn't include any extras. Charges for feed (which the animals didn't want to eat because they looked to be over fed). Charges for the tram ride. Charges for the "baby house" which claimed to have baby animals you could hold. PROBLEM- four animals, (two of them wanted nothing to do with being held or touched and would try to bite if you got too close) and about 15 people in at a time. No directions or instructions given... in the baby house or anywhere on the facility. Had no idea what some animals were because there were no signs or information anywhere. The staff had very few people skills. Tons of employees but none were helpful or friendly. No bathroom facilities either. Just a single porta potty. I was very disappointed.

We loved feeding the animals in the car!! Workers were helpful and polite. The premises near the petting zoos were dirty but overall had fun.
