Have played the course twice now in the last month and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a golf course which rewards course management.Hole two, be on the left or you have a blind second shot, the two holes with the layups between two creeks, great par threes over water or swamp land, but not too far, hole 4(?) approach to a really narrow green that rewards accuracy, really great layout that makes you think your way around the golf course.First time I played, we were fortunate to play with another twosome who knew the course. Next time around we went out on our own and I scored pretty well.Clubhouse okay but its no country club. Come for the golf and you will not be disappointed.Oh and the starter is always a hoot!!!
This course is always in decent shape. The layout is nothing challenging. Not a bad place to play for less than $50...but I wouldn't consider it an elite/premier course.
There are a lot of good holes, but often times it's not clear where you are supposed to hit the ball. You better use their guide book or you will really struggle.
The greens were great and the fairway was pretty good but the bunkers were totally worthless. Apparently they don't have any drainage so most of them had small lakes in them and the sand was virtually non-existent. Reasonable senior rate during the week. Don't buy the practice balls. There were plenty on the driving range.
I like this course. Good price, good greens, course is always in good shape, and let me tell you, this track has a few holes on it that will challenge the best of golfers. This course has a Par-3 on the back (is it 15?) that is all the par-3 you'll ever want to eat.
I know there are a ton of courses around here, but this little gem is an amazing golf course with really great service, always well maintained greens. Fairways could use some challenge, but overall a really great, quiet place to play a round.
I have played this course 4-5 times in the last year and it never gets old. The variety of different types of holes is unbelievable. The first time you play it you just don't realize the variety. But each time you play it you find more and more new things and different looks from hole to hole. Its not an easy course but it is a fair course if you can keep the ball somewhat in play. You can make a good score if you keep it out of the water. The course condition is pretty good too. And you can find some good deals on various sites for Green Fees under 50 bucks. Well worth it!
The course layout is very challenging but fun. You had better have your game on to play here. The clubhouse needs updating along with the pro shop. Staff not the friendliest either. But you will be here for the golf. It is a must try if you are in the area.
Traffic can be a problem at the end of weekend round (it is suburbia), but the track is worth the trek. Good value for the $63 weekend rate. Irons are your friend here, and you might even need a hybrid on some the par-3s. (I think it is hole #14 where you have a mess of wetlands between you and the green) Hole #11 is a fun par-3 with some water. Great hole for some side bets with your friends. When you are done, head over to downtown Frisco. Plenty of eats, or maybe even stop Make your 19th hole The Londoner
Priced on the mid-higher side, it's a fair test of golf. Course in good repair and greens ran true. Pro shop staff were polite, and the starter was very nice. The weather wasn't cooperative but still an enjoyable day...worth the $$
We enjoy the Trails, but it is made for the smart player. The fairways wind quite a bit and many holes call for irons off the tee. Be prepared for hitting straight and keeping the ball in play, otherwise it will be a long day. It is a great course that is not too long, so any level can enjoy the track.
My husband plays this course more than I do, but we both like the course. It is a bit tough for me so I am not giving it the highest rating but it is a nice course. Their restaurant and pro shop is quite nice
The condition of the greens and fairways is excellent, but if you are not a scratch golfer, expect to lose some balls. You must stay in the fairway and hit the greens or you're in trouble.
Course is usually in great shape and is a nice playable track. A little pricy but worth it because it is hardly ever busy.
Sits in the middle to two neighborhoods. No frills, just for those that want to hit a round without having to impress anyone.
