a blast from the past

We stumbled upon this place after leaving the bar-b-que restaurant next door. Half of the store was an old drugstore and the other half, a movie theater. The owners were there and Chuck took us on a whirlwind tour of Giddings and American history. I loved the Model T and REO Speedwagon fire truck on display. My wife was intrigued by the sheer volume of gift items (Betty Boop to Marilyn Monroe). About 15 minutes into our browsing we caught a whiff of the most wonderful aroma. We followed it to the rear of the store where Chuck's wife was busy making fudge. Of course we bought a box of assorted flavors, and it was the most delicious fudge we have ever eaten. IT IS A MUST BUY!! Be sure to check out the train Depots located behind the store. After all, Giddings is the "Depot Capital of Texas".

This store was a really great store, my sisters, mother and I were on vacation, stopped by the store, it was an awesome store, bought several things, and bought their fudge, it was awesome , wish we could by some on line

I thought this store was an antique store, but it isn't. It is filled with things from the past, such as old dresses and things. It is a very interesting store to go through, but we didn't find anything that we wanted to buy.
