fairhaven vineyards

Last week we visited this vineyard and winery. Despite the fact that this winery has a very unassuming exterior, the product inside is first class! We sampled all of the wines including the first bottle of Blanc du Bois produced for sale which was just wonderful. This winemaker really knows what he is doing! We bought a bottle of BdB at the end of the tasting. The only wine that we didn't like was the port which was thin and tasted more like whiskey than port. The inside was more like a storage shed than a place to sit and drink, but we were told that they were in the process of fixing things up to improve the surroundings. All in all, this winery is well worth the visit!

This was the first stop of the day as it opens at 10am. Cute, little setup with barrels, production and tasting all in the same building. if you're lucky you'll visit in the evening and listen to the live performances! Overall a good time.
