We have had season passes since they opened in Mansfield. The atmosphere is very family friendly and safe. The food is priced well and delicious. They make it a fun filled and great place to take your kids to cool off for the day. Our kids love the different water slides they offer and we never seem to get tired of going each summer.
this is a great alternative to going to the larger Hurricane Harbor in central Arlington. Although smaller it still has plenty of slides and shorter lines.
We live close to HF Mansfield, so we have been many times over the years since it opened. It's a small waterpark, but adequate for kids to have a good time. We go less each year because there are a few problems with the park, which makes me dread going. I DESPISE having to take off my water shoes, hat and sunglasses to ride the slides. I have been on water slides at Atlantis, Schlitterbahn, Great Wolf Lodge, Wet N Wild Cancun, and the waterpark at the JW Marriott in San Antonio. None of these other places make guests remove shoes, hats and sunglasses to ride slides or even water coasters. The group of 4 body slides and 4 tube slides are VERY slow. Slower than any other water park that I have been to - NO WAY they could make my hat and glasses come off. I also really don't understand having to take my shoes off on a tube ride - it makes no sense, especially on a double tube with me in the back and my feet tucked under my kids arms. It is very annoying to have to ride with a lap-full of stuff and then have to put it back on at the end.Another problem that we encountered this week, was there were very few tubes. I realize that it is the end of the summer and school begins in two weeks, but they are a waterpark, they still need to have tubes! We needed a double tube to ride the group of four slides. We had to wait in a line at the end of the slides to get a double float, then go get in the real line. It really stunk, because while we were waiting for a double tube, about 20 people on single tubes went in front of us. There were only SEVEN double tubes for the entire ride!! That is ridiculous! The lines were only half way down on those slides, because that is all the tubes that they had. There were also people only halfway down on the halfpipe (yellow/blue and orange/blue stripped slides), because there weren't enough tubes there either. People were waiting in another line at the bottom for a tube. There were also VERY FEW tubes in the lazy river. At one point, I could see from the bridge all the way down to the zero entry. There were only FOUR tubes on that entire side of the lazy river. There were so few tubes it was impossible to get one. Other observations are that the lifeguards and food service people are slow and rude. There seems to be no Customer Service training. The girl that took our order for food was so lifeless and cold, it seemed like maybe a zombie had taken over her body. Also, there is a new thing that they are doing on the slides that makes lines go incredibly slow. The person in front of you has to go down the slide and get out of their tube before you are even allowed past a chain to get into your float. This process adds at least 30 seconds, usually longer, between each guest. If there are twenty people in front of you, your wait in line is now at least 10 minutes longer due to this new policy - and the life guards are in NO hurry either. We only went once this year. We used to go at least three times each summer. I would love to buy a season pass and be able to take my kids several times in the summer, but I won't be back until I hear that they have thrown out their ridiculous rules and have become more customer friendly.
Our family of 9 went to the park on Friday and found something for everyone - from plenty of lounge chairs for the non-swimmers to exciting slides for the water lovers. There was a big crowd, but we were able to find a picnic table to keep our "stuff" and some chairs close by for sun bathing. The park in not as big a some water parks in Arlington, but neither is the crowd or the mess in the parking lot. Some items of concern and advice:The park staff is very young (as expected), but not very friendly. They seemed to not really care how fast the lines moved or how long patrons had to wait. Just to get in there was a line of 10 people and only 1 ticket window open. The fees are pretty steep, but there seemed to be a lot of people with grocery store discount coupons. If you are from the area, you probably know about them. Also there was a lot of hot concrete without water nearby. I would highly suggest beach shoes. Flip flops work, but they make you take them off and hold them on the slides. I would also suggest taking your own food and drink. There is a $10 cooler charge, but it is well worth it. Bottled water is $2 and liter drinks are $3, plus the snack menu is limited to ballpark food like nachos, chips, snow cones, and burgers. Hopefully this information will help you enjoy the park even more than we did & for less money.
We have been season pass holders for the last three years. We have three kids and there is something to do for all of them. HFalls is a great escape from the summer heat!!
We like to go here every weekend. It's good for little kids as there is nothing really extreme there and a lot of activities for kids.Better to buy season pass as it saves a lot of money after a few visits. The food is not great, but enough variety considering that they don't specialize in food
This waterpark shared a parking lot with Big League Dreams baseball complex where our son was playing for a few days. We decided this would be better than payimg more for other water parks in the DFW area...esp after we got a $7 off coupon on each entry! We didn't have to drive anywhere else. You can bring food in, too! We brought our bathing suits & changed in the dressing rooms after our games ended. We set up by the little kiddie splash & slide area & let the big kids ride as they pleased. Me & another mom rode almost every ride & we are so glad we did. We had as much fun as the kids!We could have chosen something bigger with more rides. However, with that, we also would have lost the ability to let our older kids pair off without us while letting the littles have a great time, too. AND they only rode their favorite rides over & over anyway, so why pay for more variety when they wouldn't have used it? The park was just right as far as size. The lines weren't too bad & most of the chairs were taken, but it wasn't over crowded. The worst part was buying tickets. The girl helping us was terrible & us having a coupon threw her for a loop. It took at least 20 minutes to buy tickets for our family when it should've been an easy & quick process. They had food & drink options in the park, but we didn't eat there. Some of our people got snow cones & the line was pretty long. Be sure to use sun protection & reapply. Sun/water at the park is way more brutal than regular sun. There isn't much shade at this park, but there are gazebos you can rent & covered picnic areas that were taken when we arrived.
Great day, mostly cloudy, but sun came out late afternoon. Not crowded, very clean, and easy to navigate.
We had a great time! Pools were clean, rides were safe and fun, lines were short. Fun kid area there was a lot of things to for everyone. You do not have to rent inner tubes which is a plus!
Very clean. Lots of activites for younger children. Not crowded. No one in our pary was interested in the rides so we never waited in line.
Season passes are worth it! They include early entry and coupons. It's a very family friendly place, with nice music and fun for everyone.
A bit overpriced but fun none the less. Lots of stuff for the kids to do and play on. They had a blast as I tried to keep an eye on all of them which was impossible! This place is too big to do that. Fun times!
Very fun and very close. The facilities were clean and well kept. There was plenty of lockers to store your belongings and they were close to the rides. Plenty of food choices as well. My favorite ride was the giant toilet bowl. Not really a toilet bowl but it resembled one.
week days are the best time to visit. it is less crowded.it is small & very busy on the weekend.Water fun & slides.
This is a great local waterpark in Mansfield. The crowds are not very big and there are many slides to please the kids. We go here every year.
