My family owns a small business building reclaimed furniture and antiqued furniture and had been looking forward to securing a booth. We have shopped here several times and were very excited about the opportunity to sell locally where we love to shop. This morning we showed up to secure a space and were treated very rudely by the staff. I called afterwards to speak to management to try to get it resolved or to see what we could do for the following month to successfully have a booth and was told to take our business to another market. This treatment really upsets me because I do not think I could shop here again after being treated this way.
Trade Days is like a small Canton. Lots of stuff for sale. Knives, antiques and junk. We didn't see much for crafts or artists. There was some fair food and an adorable italian booth restaurant. We walked the whole place and it took maybe two hours but then we're not ones to buy much at these types of places. It's easy to get to. Lots of bathrooms. It's a pleasant afternoon.
We moved to McKinney in '97. We try to go to TMTD 5-6 times a year. The event is ncie and clean. I love the people watching and the smells of the food vendors. Can easily take three hours to see it all.
More than a flea market, this is like a "mini fair". It has everything you'd expect: antiques, crafts, fair-style food booths (think long hot-dogs on a stick, or whole corn-cobs etc), pets for sales (dogs, cats, piglets, chicken, bunnies etc. My kids consider the pets' area of the market as petting zoo...). Everything is neatly organized in booths, and is plenty parking. A must for any flea-market lover!
Great flea market. Never know what you might find. Recommend it when the weather is appropriate, as it is mostly outdoors.
Whenever I have off this weekend from work I always head out to the Trade Days in McKinney. They always have some random fun stuff to buy and then I usually hit the food carts to get my county fair food fix for the month. They have plenty of vendors selling everything you can think of and then some. If you find yourself bored on this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, get out to the Trade Days in McKinney!
Title is smaller is sometimes better is for those who like Canton trade days but dont like all the walking or large crowds. This trade days has it all-food,bargains,kettle corn and even animals. It has some of the vendors you would see in Canton as well.No there are not rows and rows of craft booths or open field for odds and ends to sell like Canton so you can cover it all in a few hours and see everything. The sellers have been very nice everytime we have been there and have always found something to purchase. Its a nice way to spend the afternoon on the third Monday weekend. There is a charge for parking.
