tugboat island

We have family in Port Neches and found this wonderful park by accident. It is the most unique play area we have ever visited and our three year old grandson prefers this park to anything in the immediate area. The are play structures for all ages of children, the property is well maintained and it is located next to great park located right on the Neches River where all sorts of boats/ships of all sizes go back and forth. My hat off the good folks of Port Neches for building and maintaining this wonderful park. I might add it is right next to a water park that is open during the warmers seasons and although we haven't visited the park it looks equally entertaining.

Good place to go for imaginary play with kids. The huge Tugboat gave my twin boys a pirate feel like Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Great place for a pirate party also. I don't advise going when the sun is going down because of the mosquitoes. They are very prevalent after dark. Just go and let the kids use there imagination. Pack a snack or picnic lunch since there are sections of the park setup for that type of fun.

Tugboat Island offers a fun place for kids to play. Kids love the wooden structure with wood chips in case of falls. There are numerous places to hide. There is also a spray park right next to Tugboat Island. There are picnic tables and I even saw families having birthday parties there. It is a perfect place for a low cost child's birthday place!

If you are looking for a good place to bring the children this is a great place. It has a lot of things to do. The kids really enjoy it. So much better than a video game.

Great park that is fenced in so you don't have to worry as much. It's large with lots to do and the kids love it. They now have a spray park beside it as well.

Excellent place for your family to have a fun day. Great shady picnic park across from the play area. Let their imagination run wild with the castle, slides, swings, stairways, and hidden areas for them to play. They can look down from the safety deck they climb up into. It is a place that can easily take a day to explore and play. Safe fenced environment. Water park next door and always cool. Also on the bank of canal to watch ships and tugboats pass by. Not something the kids get to see everyday, not usual park they get to go to, and splash area to cool down...I suggest this to everyone that ask where to take their children, or grandchildren for a break or just a fun family day. almost forgot, they even have flushing bathrooms

My 2 & 4 yr old had a great time! Lots of climbing & exploring. We will come back. Residents only on Saturdays during summer!

Tugboat Island is located at the Port Neches city park and is a nice fenced are to bring kids to play and have an fun-filled time. It is also a place to have birthday parties. It is generally clean and well-maintained. There is also a splash park next door.

Get your kids out from the front of the tv and outside! Tugboat island in in Port Neches park and was built to get childrens imaginations to go exploring. From climbing to crawling to swinging and sliding they can have fun in a nice safe fenced in loacation. There are lots of shade trees and and great place to have a old fashion birthday party on a pick nic table. Right next door is a splash park taht the kids can cool off at, all is free!

It's a regular park any other time but during the summer, the splash park is worth going. I took my daughter and her friends. Once they were bored from playing in the splash park, they would go to the big park and then they ended back in the splash pad. We were there for about 4 hours so it makes a summer day cheap and fun. Bring a lunch but get their early to get a table.

This is a great time for children. This is a huge climbing. Swinging, sliding good time. My son is 2 and he loves it. There is a separate area for kids under five but he loves to climb up and down on the bigger side and it is accessible for parents to follow. There is plenty if seating and picnic tables throughout. Great place and it's free !!
