We stopped by on a whim and had a fun wine tasting of Texas wines. It's nothing too fancy, but rather just affordable and fun. After tasting, they have a nice selection of Texas wines to purchase if you desire. The staff is super friendly. The building is set off from Main Street to look for the sign. Ask about the back room deal on non Texas wines. Easy way to get good quality wines cheap.
We stopped in on a hot Sunday afternoon and did the wine sampling. It was 5 different wines, their choice for $5.00. The lady serving us was very informative about the types of wines. She had several dry wines but I prefer sweet wines. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Planning to return for festival in March.
This festival takes place on the property of this business usually over the last weekend of March each year beginning at 12 pm each day. This is the second time that I attended this event, and it was even better than it was last year. There were 22 Texas vineyards and wineries providing tastings this year. You pay for tickets and a glass, and you select the wines you want to sample from the tasting list. There are several tents. There is a map on the back of the listing that shows the location of each winery/vineyard. You go to the desired table, give the vendor a ticket, and get a pour in your glass. Artists are disbursed throughout the area so you can look at their wares while sipping. You can buy bottles of your favorite wines from a tent in the center. There is live music, and some seating is provided. I would say allow about 3 or 4 hours for this event so you can enjoy it. The weather was perfect for the event this year.
Charming, intimate winery with excellent service and friendly staff. They explained wine pairings with chocolate. Wonderful experience, and look forward to our next visit.
The woman who was working was very nice and didn't make us feel rushed even though we wandered in 20 minutes before closing time. It was fun to sit and hear a little bit about each wine we were tasting. You didn't get to choose which wines were on the tasting but again that might have been because we arrived so close to closing time. A delightful stop in Salado.
My wife and I have been to dozens of wineries across the US and Europe. The Salado Wine Seller is one of the best. Located on Salado's Main Street, the building is well away from the traffic in a quiet spot with ample parking. The winery building has a large wraparound porch perfect for sitting and enjoying a glass of wine. Indoors, there are several rooms including one available to rent for bridal showers, etc. Works by local artisans, including a man who uses chickens to paint, adorn the walls and are available to purchase. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like family. The wine is excellent and (as of this writing) several could be sampled free of charge.
Wine Seller was recommended to us by the staff at Inn on the Creek. They had several wines available for testing, and we ended up buying a couple of them after testing them.
This place has such a great urban loft vibe feel-love it! They also have cool artwork from local artists. Be sure and pair chocolate with your wine tasting-you wont be disapointed!!!
This is a great little tasting room. Looks like a cool place to hang out with others enjoying some nice wine.
Really neat place. An unexpected jewel. I had a winetasting there and found out they also have really neat events like art shows and chocolate stuff. I will go here again and start buying mroe wine locally instead of at the liquor store.
I love going to Salado Wine Seller. They have so many different good wines that you can't find many other places. I like that they have different art openings just about once a month. They also have music outside the first saturday of every month, you can bring your own food, and lawn chair. Grab a glass or bottle of wine and hang out! They just moved into a bigger building and you can rent out their party room for things like Bridal/Baby showers or just other gatherings! How cool is that!
