A trip to the outlets is always one of our stops. We always find great bargains. Plan on spending the entire day to get your shopping on.

I was there last week. Lots and lots of different and fun shopping choices. I could have spent lots more time if I would have had the time. Prices are less than retail but don't go expecting a super bargain. I would go again!

We enjoy San Marcos a few times a year, I always save a little extra to go to the mall. I perfer tanager because they have kirklands, old navy, and Bass just to name a few! Come early and parking won't be a problem but on the weekends it harder to get good parking !

I went to this Timberland Factory Store recently. I wanted to return a coat that I had gotten at timberland.com. Josh Muder, the Store Manager, cheerfully precessed the refund. He recommended that I shop and look for other items, since I had a store credit. Jenson Wenzel, the Assistant Store Manager, showed me a selection of items. Both Josh and Jenson were very helpful, and I wound up buying several items. Good job!

I can let my wife wander lots of other places while I visit Direct Tools Factory Outlet there. I ALWAYS spend too much, but they almost always have some sort of % off sale going, and I get reminder e-mails of when those are coming.I also like the Cavender's store there. I have bought several pair of boots there, and this is one of the largest Cavender's that I have visited.

They have a variety of high end shops such as Gucci, Neiman Marcus, etc, as well as "regular" stores such as Body Shop, Charlotte Russe, Forever XXI, etc. I wasn't expecting the mall to be so large, but was so excited it was! As for the prices, I haven't noticed a drastic change from regular retail price, but it's still a great destination simply for the variety of different stores. I've already spent a lot of money and time at this outlet, but I'm already planning for my next shopping trip here!

I will start by saying that I was not interested in any mayor brands such as Gucci, Kenneth Cole, etc. for those you would probably go to the Premium Outlet Stores. However, I found great pricing in regular store items such as Old Navy, Justice, Corning Ware, Kirkland's etc. Got some super great pricing. I bought the coupon book for $5 and was able to recoup my spending plus more with the coupons besides the great prices. Will definitely go again.

There are TWO sides to the outlet mall in San Marcos, one side is high end which is the Premium Outlet Mall for example ranging from Neiman Marcus, Prada, Tumi, Lululemon, Pottery Barn, etc. The other side which is the TANGER outlets stores such as Levi, Tommy Hilfiger, Old Navy, Coldwater Creek, Reebok, Banana Republic, Nautica, Kenneth Cole, etc. It is a large center, all strip mall set up on both sides, it just depends on what you are looking for and your price point as to which "outlet" mall you shop. Like any outlet mall sometimes you get a great deal, other times you don't find anything worth purchasing. I can say we almost always shop at the Premium Outlet Stores, not the Tanger Outlet Stores side.

We love visiting outlets because sometimes you can find some great bargains. They had some good stores - be sure to check their website for the stores and sales. We found some better prices at this Fossil vs. the premium outlet one. Wear some good walking shoes and take some water.

This "outlet" mall is laid out horrible. Yes, there are plenty of stores, but basically you park in the center and walk around an outer perimeter. In June, it's a little hot. Out of the number of stores we went into, we were actually only greeted in one. Be weary-- not all the stores are outlets, so you could be paying full price. We would probably skip this mall in the future because of the layout.

I love Outlet Mall shopping! Premier Outlet is the wish I could mall where Tanger is more waht my pocketbook can afford. I am sorry Coldwater Creek is closing. My hubby goes through jeans and his favorites are Levi jeans. We buy all his jeans at the Levi outlet store at Tanger.

We bought a whole lots of merchandizes here! With additional discounts, everything we saw was a great bargain! Will definitely be back again if we are visiting San Antonio again!

If you don't realize it there are actually two outlet centers here. One is Tanger and the other is Premium. I much prefer the Tanger side and as you could spend two days walking around all the stores in the whole place I would suggest starting here. Tanger is on the right side when you are driving in from the highway. The stores on this side seem to have better pricing and more things that you might want on your average shopping trip. On my average shopping trip it is usually clothes. I love the DressBarn for work clothes and the one at Tanger seems to have good prices compared to the regular store. Some of the stores have outlets in Tanger and Premium. There are all sorts of stores on this sides that you might find stuff for older kids or teens in also. I will say that I was somewhat disappointed when I tried to find Christmas presents in December, but if I'm just clothes shopping I'm usually pretty happy. If you take kids you might want to bring them something to drink in a bottle or snacks as there aren't really many places to get that sort of thing. Wear comfortable shoes!

I am not sure why people flock to this outlet. The impression is that you can get highly discounted merchandise from high end stores when in fact the products are either full price or the mark downs are no better than off-season sales at the local department stores. Most of the other products are made specifically for the outlets so might as well just shop at a discount store near you since the quality is the same. The exceptions were some products from Crate and Barrel and the back room at Caphalon.

I used to make 3 or 4 trips a year to these malls but slowed down due to higher and higher prices. Think I've made my last visit. I can find much better deals in my local area and not have to pay for a hotel room. Seems that more and more of the stores have been taken over by foreigners. I think the younger employees are much friendlier.
