Awesome Family adventure. We made some great family memories. The one admission price of $10 covers all activities...there is a hay maze, giant slides for the whole family, pedal cars, barrel train rides and the animals are so fun to interact with. It is also a u-pick strawberry farm. Strawberries are grown in hydroponic stackers so kids won't get dirty. I recommend this place highly!

This is not an traditional farm. At Blessington Farms they grow strawberries in vertical gardening system call "Hydro-Stacker Vertical Hydroponic Growing System". It very modern, interesting and easy to harvest for kids, adults and elders. I recommend to visit early in the morning, in spring or fall because of our brutal summer weather in Texas. You have plenty of plants so you can pick your favorites berries. You have to buy a bucket for $5 and pay for the berries you pick. (We paid $5/per pound). It's fun! Remember to bring your sunblock, hat and water. You will also have a funland where the the small kids (I will say 10 years olds and under ) will enjoy different rides and activities. The only bad thing we experience in our visit was that since we had most teenagers (15 people group) we have to decide what to do after we picked our strawberries so we sat under a tree. Some of our friends have a baby and have to change the diapers ....Maybe 20-30 minutes later one of the staff member told us we had to leave the place if we are not going to buy tickets for Funland. We explained the situation because we have only 3 small kids but it didn't have sense to buy 15 tickets..so we were deliberating about it. He rudely ordered us to stand up and leave immediately. He was so rude with our group so immediately we decide to leave and told him it was not a good manner to treat people, specially in front of the kids. It was on last spring break (for your records @ blessington farms) . My advise: decide if you are going to buy ticket for funland if possible at the time you arrived at the farm......of course it depends on your time, mood, ages of the kids, etc...but decide quickly! Beautiful place to stay but some staff members need more training to deal with people.
