The atmosphere is very interesting. It's important to talk to the locals. They will not hold back and are a wealth of information. The food is ok. What makes this place is it's history and the people.

We happened upon the Starlight on Fat Tuesday, after reading about it for a couple of years. Great gumbo and steaks, nice attentive servers that could joke around with anyone. And just about every kind of person was at the Starlight. We gathered that the abnormal is normal for the Starlight. Many memories are made there.

I have been to Terlingua a handful of times, and I always include the Starlight because of it's good food and atmosphere. There was live music the night I was there, and the place had a decent crowd (it was off-season). I enjoyed the food, drink, and music, and so did my travel companion.

It's the best place in town, with good reason. Historic. Great atmosphere. Cool bar. Very good food. And there is an excellent wine list!!!

I had an unexpectedly great meal of chicken fried wild boar! Yum. Totally unexpected. The entertainment was superb. Local color topped off the perfect New Year's celebration!

Get the prickly pear margarita! Food is good, staff is friendly. Go next door and sit on the porch, star gaze, enjoy the night! Live music varies every night, we saw some good bands! Very fun!

You have to try their Texas BBQ and pecan pie chocolate desert (may not the exact names) . Don't really care for their street tacos and music though.

This place was awesome! Few things to know- 1) Monday is buy one get one on their regular burgers! 2) Expect a wait, and be grateful if there's not one. This is THE place to be, and everyone knows it. I recommend getting your name on the list and then going next door to the Trading Post to shop. Amazing live entertainment, margaritas, food, staff, atmosphere. and 3) You may think you can eat Diego's Burger, but you most likely will not.

The chocolate pecan pie was just OMG. Food is good. Very good. And environment is even better. I was surprised to see such an artistic crowd and high level performance of live music.

Great piece of history still standing. Live music is quality. Food is ok but service and a few unique items on the menu are draws. The ambience was main attraction for me. The front porch is also a great place to watch sun go down.

Starlight Theatre had a great atmosphere, live music was playing, and the food and mixed drinks were awesome. It was a bit over priced, but not too bad.

We went there on Friday night and Monday night and enjoyed the entertainment both times. The 2 for 1 burgers on Monday is a secret so they won't tell you. The locals know but we found out too late.

If you prefer a local experience over a chain restaurant, then you will enjoy this place! The building is rustic run down charm! You will find locals and vacationers sitting on the porch talking and taking in the beautiful mountains and gorgeous sunset. Lol, they even bring their dogs and let them hang out. The food is very good with a 2 for 1 burger deal that we couldn't believe on Monday nights! They were large and included fries for only $9. There were 2 talented locals singing and playing guitar. The place was packed and fun and safe! Go in hiking or golf clothes or jeans and t shirts. No one will care!

It's sort of touristy and a little noisy, but the food was very good and the place - a former movie theater, then a roofless performance venue, and now a restaurant in a ghost town -- is definitely different.

We ate at the Starlight Theatre with my family while in Terlingua - some locals advised us that this was one of the best places to eat in town, and I can see why! The place has a lot of charm, and the food was very good. A great place to people watch, have a beer, and a nice dinner.
