You can spend a whole day here if you love nature and photography. Dragonfly, water lilies and in the spring....tulips.

My daughter and I went here for the fall festival and scarecrow village. It was a beautiful facility with lots of gorgeous details. We can't wait to go back for the Christmas garden festivities!

Have been out there during events. They always have a family friendly event or fundraiser on the schedule. The gardens are kept up and beautiful. Great for weddings, relaxing outings or pictures.

We did a photography session while all of our family was together at Clark Botanical Gardens. This is a surprisingly beautiful oasis in north Texas. Stop in if you have time just to stroll and meditate on God's beautiful creation. Best time is spring and early summer.

I know that most folks are not looking at this sight to find wedding locations, but Clark Gardens is one of limited outdoor wedding venues available in the area. My daughter chose Clark Gardens for her wedding and although it is a lovely location, the wedding coordinator made it such a dreadful experience that it tainted the decision. Many, many times she wished she had chosen a different location.VENUE CONTRACT - the contract to use the facility is 12 pages long. Granted, I know these days that everyone has to "cover" themselves against law suits, but they should not expect a bride to be a professional wedding planner. They should give a brief highlight of some of the main points and restrictions of the contract so that a bride can easily see and understand if it will meet her expectations. There were so many nitpicky little restrictions that were never discussed when touring the property, that it made dealing with them very challenging and limited her arrangements - such as NO potable water available, NO ice available, things cannot be moved (such as a table that is in the way of the ceremony) without a fee, you can only use certain bartenders that they approve, and on and on.ATTITUDE - The whole attitude of the event coordinator should be that this is your special day, what can we do to make it what you want it to be. Instead, her attitude when asked about anything was very much "We cannot do that." period. No negotiating, no suggesting options or alternatives. Just "NO!" It made the whole planning process unpleasant rather than a joy. I cannot say enough about how unprofessional and unpleasant the coordinator made this in both verbal as well as written communication. So very sad for such a lovely property. We dealt with lots of vendors helping with the wedding and they asked us the venue. When we said it was Clark Gardens, they generally just rolled their eyes because they had dealt with them before and knew it was going to be problematic for all of us. That just shouldn't be the case if you are going to be in the wedding venue business.Again, this is an absolutely gorgeous location for a wedding or gathering for any special occasion, but the unprofessionalism of the event coordinators make this a less than wonderful choice.

7 of us were in the area for a reunion and stopped in to visit the gardens. Even though it was October there were many flowers in bloom, especially the roses. The model trains were a hit with the men, but we all had a leisurely stroll through a well kept and beautiful place. It should be on your list if in the area.

A botanical garden with fun & interesting displays & exhibits. The Train exhibit is especially fun for kids. Worth the time to see it.

Visited Clark Gardens on July 6th and surprisingly garden was beautiful and flowers blooming in spite of the heat. Recent rains helped I'm sure. I can only imagine how beautiful these gardens would be in the spring and plan to return at that time of the year. Would love to catch the peacocks displaying. Many beautiful sculptures, a waterfall, beautiful pond with water lilies, meandering shaded paths, a small chapel for weddings, a covered pavillion. One of the most beautiful botanical gardens that I have visited. Well worth the time and visit.

We visited recently on a weekday morning. Very few people were there...the solitude and quiet were a welcome respite from our usual hectic schedules. The gardens have many places to sit and just enjoy the breeze, listen to fountains, bask in the sun, and watch some of the local residents...guinea hens, peacocks, ducks and swan. The wide variety of plantings ensured that the garden was different every time we visited. it is a wonderful place and we will definitely visit again.

If you like botanical gardens, you will love this place. The woman that runs this is very particular about everything making it a very relaxing and pleasant experience.

When you first drive up to this garden it doesn't seem like much but there's a whole world of loveliness once you enter the actual gardens. This is a great place to take the family, bring a picnic. There's flowers, ponds with ducks and a big patch of bluebonnets. When I went there was a field of irises. I never knew they came in so many colors. Just beautiful!

We came the second Sat. in May, and the iris were probably prettier last week. It was a peaceful afternoon stroll. They were setting up for several weddings. It would make a nice setting for photos.

You wouldn't want to visit Mineral Wells for any reason. It's one of those has-been, hell holes blighting Northern Texas. If you do find yourself here, however, check out the only remotely redeeming attraction Mineral Wells has to offer, Clark Gardens Botanical Park. It's a quant walking garden, with highlights including flowers, geese, fountains, and a toy train set. Incidentally, the admission prices are steep, the rude staff blocks off all the best parts for weddings, and the garden's location is not far enough away from a highway to be totally secluded, but it offers a peaceful place to relax and enjoy.

This is a hidden treasure that I never even knew about until my daughter got a job there! It is almost in Mineral Wells and is the most amazing garden I have seen. It started as a family garden and blossomed (literally) into acres and acres of gardens of all styles. It is now a non profit run by the Clark family and has fantastic festivals that the whole family can enjoy several times per year. I only wish they would do more advertising so everyone could find out about this special place. My favorite thing is the fact that they are very pet friendly and allow dogs at all events as long as they are leashed and you pick up their poo!

Chapel available for weddings. Enclosed banquet area. There's a lot of walking, of course. But they have a golf cart for rent for those who have a problem with extended walking. You may bring your own sack lunch. Loved the miniature RR that chugs indoors and out thru replicas of Weatherford and Mineral Wells, thru tunnels, over waterfalls, etc. There is an interesting display of old machinery at the far side of the rose gardens. They also have experimental rose gardens affiliated with A&M. Sometimes they sell plants. Wandering paths and ponds. Owners are very friendly and will walk/talk with you about the garden and it's history. Highly recommend this place.
