Looks like an awesome summertime swimming hole, but we visited during cold weather so we could only imagine the fun.

I have been enjoying the Blue Hole since the 1960 s. We first started coming here from our hometown in Houston, when I was a child. It was incredible then, and now it is world class, TEXAS STYLE. No matter what I can tell you about how it looks, you wont know the full experience until you grab that rope and swing into summer heaven, fresh frigid creek water on a 100+ heatwave-kinda-day (which are most days in the central Texas summer!). I am impressed with the way the park has been assembled from various surrounding parcels, and built up into a park with the best of hiking trails, restrooms, soccer fields, adequate parking, and of course CYPRESS CREEK. And anytime of year, you can meander along the trails to see plenty of grazing deer, so wildlife viewing is also a plus.

Such a great park with so much to see. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Too cold to swim but looks like a great time in the summer!

Walked in this beautifully manicured park! Great morning! Some crunchy leaves, some sidewalk and gorgeous trees and water!

It was not the swimming season, so the place was nice and quiet. There are different trails to walk/hike/jog/bike on and it is very near Wimberley Square. It is very well maintained.

I was here in the winter on a cool day - definitely NOT swimming weather, but it sure looked like a great spot to cool off in the summer! The Park itself is very nice - new buildings and paved paths and great hiking, biking and dog walking trails. I would love to come back here when the weather was warmed to use the facilities here! Lots of deer and wildlife in the area and the rock ledges are very scenic.

Many hiking trails for hiking or jogging, dog friendly too. Went in the winter but would love to go back in summer and swim in the crystal clear water in the swimming area.

I went for a walk around the Blue Hole while I was passing through Wimberley. Looks like a nice spot, but there's not much to it. The facilities look nice and new, looks well maintained. The water itself looked very nice to splash around in, but I spent more time wandering through the wooded area at the top. Saw a few deer and squirrels.

Wished it would have been a time of the year when I could have gone swimming. The area is a place I would like to explore more.

The Blue Hole is a great place to take your family while visiting Wimberley during the open season. Get there early to avoid crowds and snag a good spot on the lawn or a picnic table. There are a couple of tree swings for the more adventurous types or there is some shallow water for the little ones to enjoy. The water is crystal clear and a very refreshing 70 degrees. The entry fee isn't very much at all and in my opinion worth it.

The Blue Hole was easy to find and parking was not far. The water was really nice. It's a perfect place for a family picnic.

This used to be an old "hippie swimming hole" that has been transformed into a park complete with rules and regulations...not like the "old days"....however they did a brilliant job of making this a place for all to come and enjoy. My understanding is there is a fee to enter in the summer months. We did not pay a fee as when we went it was closed for swimming although there were a few swimmers and I suppose in the summer months it is very crowded. It is a serene beautiful piece of paradise, the water is blue, clear, calm with the magnificent cypress trees lining the edge of the water along the river and this swimming hole. There are cows on the private property on the opposite side of the park that are truly living the life of luxury in this little piece of paradise.

Although this attraction was closed for swimming until next spring it was still worth the trip to see. It's a beautiful place to pictures and I would've loved to have had the opportunity to jump in the water! There are a couple of rope swings there that I'd love to see people jump into the water from.

A little piece of heaven! The park is well staffed and well cared for. The water is cold and beautiful; a great family swimming spot!!!

Good parking, not an excessive entrance fee, lots of turf grass, lots of shade, cool spring clear water, very relaxing and therapeutic, or,,, swing and drop ropes.
