My kids had so much fun at Morgans! No one stared when my son when he had a difficult time leaving an activity. He quickly saw another exciting place to play & had a wonderful day. My daughter was very interested to see so many children with special needs, and I think it helped her accept and understand her brother more. We all had a great time!
Morgan's Wonderland is an amazing place and great opportunity for all kids (with and without special needs) to have fun in a safe and clean environment. For the size of the facility, it offers lots of attractions: train, theater, water works, multiple playgrounds with swings, sand boxes, merry-go-round, auto-driving jeeps, fishing, etc. My kids love to go and play and run off all of their energy. Great for a weekend activity with kids.
This is a really good place for kids with disabilities who like to have a good time. There is also a place called CRIT USA next door who specializes in treatment for disabled kids.
The best way i can summarize Morgan's Wonderland is by describing it as a place that is often thought or dreamt about in fantasy, but so very rarely comes to fruition due to the many obstacles that get in the way of handicap accessibility. The creators and supporters of Morgan's Wonderland committed to overcoming each one of those hurdles and what they've created is nothing short of a dream. My sister-in-law is a wheel chair bound special needs 31 year old. We have had the joy of taking her to the park on three different occasions. Each one of those outing was enjoyed immensely due to her experiences on the train, trail cars and especially the carousel each allows for handicap riders to partake while still in their wheelchairs). The park is enjoyable for those without special needs as well. I simply cannot describe my appreciation for Morgan's Wonderland
This was the first "play" park for special needs children. It provides an opportunity for these children, no matter their age, to feel free and enjoy and/or interact with the park attractions.
It has something for everyone and completely safe. Although it doesn't sell food you can bring a cooler with a lunch and leave it on a table anywhere in the park with no worries of anyone taking it.
What great imagination! The founders of Morgan's Wonderland definitely know how to entertain a child! We have taken out little one several times here. Even for the most protective parent, there are layers upon layers of protection for your little one. Just give it a shot, you will love it!Highly recommended!
My wife absolutely loved this park. It's one of the only places we've ever been that felt like it was easy for a little kid to have fun (without us having to shadow their every step).
We kept passing signs for this place so we looked it up. My wife and I were really impressed while reading what it was about on the website. We went on a Saturday in the fall and it was not super crowded. The prices were very reasonable and my kids (4 year old son, 18 mo old twin girls) loved every minute. It was a combination of an amusement park, playground and museum. Tons of interactive exhibits, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor fun. Although totally handicap accessible, we didn't need it but saw lots of families utilize the services. The only thing that could make it a little better would be a better food menu but you are allowed to bring your own which is a total plus. Their food is snack bar food. We love this place, highly recommend it.
Even though this is 100% handicap accessible, and we did not have anyone in our group who needed those services, this place was wonderful for little kids. We had 5 children ages 1-7 within our 4 families. This place was clean, clean, clean. So many activities to keep all ages occupied 100% of the time. I would highly recommend all families visit this wonderland.
We took my grandson here for Halloween. We had a great time. The theme was a not so scary thing, which for our 3 year old was great. Staff were friendly, park is nice and well thought out. Accessible and empowering for children with disabilities. Just a wonderful time, they gave out candy and had face painting. I never knew this place was here. Glad I know now.
Morgans wonderland was great, i always thought it was for the physically challenged. Its for everyone. my thw year old had so much fun and everything is really, really clean. my husband even got in on the action and fished until he finally caught the biggest catfish i have ever seen. It was really great seeing the kids in wheelchairs swing and ride the merry go round. i will continue to go back year after year!!! koddos gordon hartman!
If you or your child have a disability of any type, this is the place to go to experience all of the things an average person would experience in a park. I was amazed when I was able to get on a swing in my wheelchair.
We came to Texas from Ohio to watch my brother graduate from the air force. We researched things to do in San Antonio and this was one of them. Our daughter has Cerebral Palsy and we enjoyed every second of this place. Wish we had one closer to us!
Took my 4-year-old daughter with our friend's family who had a son with limited movement due to the surgery recently here and they felt totally in loved with Morgan's. Extremely friendly with children with special needs, with very creative activities.
