Not so good as advertisement said. Poor ground so I feel too bad to play. Seems each hole with different size so I have to try several times...
Used to play here all the time when I first started as it was a good value. Played here twice in the last year, including two weeks ago, and can say that I really enjoyed the new greens. They have a short, island green on the par-3 #6, which will challenge you especially when the wind is blowing. Set in an older neighborhood in Plano, but the home only come into play (maybe) on the last hole, a lenghty 566-yard par-5. Staff is friendly, and still a good value.
The guys have done a great job in replacing the greens for very accurate puts. The new greens have only been open a few weeks, but they are so much better than they had. It had rained a few days before I went. I went on a weekday. So it was a very pleasant, non-rushed, round of golf. I'll go back with friends.
This was my first my first time playing this course. It was a good experience. Having read the horror reviews, I was a little apprehensive. The clubhouse was dated but functional. The greens were just completed, hole #9 that morning, which made for a pleasant experience. They seem to be putting some effort toward bringing the course quality up. My only complaints would be the tee boxes and the fairways. Several tee boxes are worn down and grassless. Some faiways were like hitting off of concrete. Overall, I give it a C+, trending up. With a discounted cost of $8.99/with cart, I give it a B+! It is well worth a round!
Have played this course many times over the last 20 years. There are so many excellent courses in the Dallas area that unless you get a special deal, I'm afraid this just isn't worth the money. Right now they are in the process of replacing the greens, so there are some good deals if you don't mind playing temporary greens. There are a few beautiful holes on the course so if you do get a good deal, it's worth playing at least once.
