Nice sculpture and benches. Nothing really noteworthy. Lots of commuters between the two countries meet there. Faces the lovely La Posada Hotel.

If you see it early in the morning if feels like you went back in time. Later in the day it has too many people.

It is a part of Laredo and with it's old plaza cobble stone streets. Shops and touristy yet simple and inviting. Good eats and local shops. Fun to visit since attractions are limited.

It is worth your time to walk around the San Augustin Plaza and read the historical markers. There is so much history there. Sit on a bench for a little while and watch the world go by. You can imagine what it has been like for a century.

I walked around the plaza during the day & it was interesting. It was the closest to Mexico as we could get. Beautiful church & impressive stained glass. We stayed in La Posada so it was very convenient. If you want cheap shopping they are around this area.

It is historical sight, and there is the museum and the church. I gone through there at night walking, and I would recommend going in the day time. There are really bad night bars around the area. There are some characters who leave a lot to be desired. The shopping is not that great! I would stick to Mall del Notre or some outlet.

As I was visiting the church we took a look around town, it was gorgeous....The only issue was parking. We had to park 2 blocks away because the public parking was going to close in an hour and they wouldn't allow us to park there. That didn't make any sense to me but whatever I guess..This is another attraction if you are ever in town take a look

We were in town during one of the events in the month-long George Washington Birthday Celebration - the Jamboozie - held in the general area of the plaza. There is interesting shopping in that area - extremely cheap stuff, but kind of fun to look at. Some of the characters around the plaza are a little bit dodgy looking, but there is a lot of security around all the time, and it's well-lit at night.
