Visiting the Tyler area for a wedding, my husband and I visited the Kiepersol Winery and were incredibly impressed with the service provided, selection of wines, and customer care. The winery is so beautiful, even without the normal summer months foliage, and was such a welcome from the snow we were experiencing at home. We selected to do a wine tasting of six wines and we were so impressed with the level of attention we were given, knowledge of the wines themselves, as well as recommendations given to us to visit other Tyler area attractions. There was a great balance between tastings and letting our party relax, which was very much appreciated. After the winery we went over to the Distillery where I had, not even kidding, the most delicious Bloody Mary. So good in fact, that I couldn't even get the bar tender to give me a hint on her recipe! I highly recommend visiting Kiepersol when in the Tyler area. Incredibly beautiful, delicious drinks, and a fantastic day!
If you are in the East Texas area, this should be a must stop. Visited this lovely winery with a couple of my friends & we had a wonderful time! The staff was very friendly & helpful. Highly recommend a visit!
Great wines and great tour guides! It is really impressive considering they grow all their own grapes and don't import any, like many other Texas wineries.
Pierre De Wet and staff have hit a home run with their new bourbon called " Jimmy". It is very smooth, a bourbon that you can drink without mixing. It's a little pricey but very good.
This is a very large and successful winery. With over 20 wines to try, there certainly is a collection. However, this another taste by the flight winery and they WILL NOT substitute. So you are stuck with the red, white, dry, or sweet collection. Overall, the wine was very, very good and we ended up buying 2 bottles. They also distill a vodka, bourbon, and rum. We tried and liked, but I refuse to pay $39 fro a vodka made from grape seeds. They also had a little picnic area where we were able to sit and have cheese and crackers. We ordered a bottle which was brought to us and served in wine glasses.
Frequent patrons that thoroughly enjoy this winery. Beautiful scenery and relaxing atmosphere. Family friendly with a giant sandbox! Extremely attentive & knowledgeable staff.
My friend suggested we check out Kiepersol Winery and Distillery just for fun after lunch in Tyler, TX. we followed the GPS route but overshot and had to turn around and recover. THe Kiepersol Estates, etc., are not marked with big signs. we were taken aback by the beauty and serenity of this large, gorgeous vineyard and all that it has to offer. We had a first clas wine tasting at the tasting room. We shared a bottle of red wine on the patio as the sun set. WE were looked after by a very responsive , professional and knowledgeable staff. they left nothing to chance. We bought wine, and were told we might want to saunter down to the distillery and we took their advice. WOW we did the vodka tasting and then tucked into their handmade , first class martinis. Perfect end to the afternoon. taking our martinis we moved out to the picnic tables in one of the many beautiful outdoor seating areas.THere's also a patio off the distillery at the back door there. We snapped pix of the gorgeous vineyards that you swear could be Calif. Gorgeous. At this oint we were hungry and inquired about the restaurant. It was a Thursday so we were in luck and were seated as soon as we asked to be. the food was incredible and the service impeccable. I will be making a trip back to this gorgeous place as soon as I can, and will take any and all friends there in future when they come to TX.
