The food is atrocious and expensive.I ordered Mediterranean salad and the lettuce was drenched in vinegar and 12 hours after eating I am still burping with vinegar flavor. For $6.50, you get cheese burger which is nothing but two slices of regular bread with a slice of cheddar cheese between them. At around 1:45 PM on a Sunday they ran out of Butterfield Garlic Chicken - an important item on their menu - which Indicates total lack of planning. If you are interested in views, just go to the Geo-Deck, spend some time there and go to any nearby restaurants and have food that is worthy of your money.
It was a great experience. You can go on a couples date or take your family. Michelle G. Was one of our attendents and she was very professional and courteous to me and my date. The elevator attendent (Drew) was professional and very informative too.
Quite simply spectacular. Way too pricey though. Still, you have to do it when visiting the Big D. Geo Deck bar serves splendid Margaritas and just about the best hot cookies and ice cream anywhere. They are great value. However, geo deck cafe is not always open and closes early when you assume it's open. Check first!
The Tower was a hit with the youths and Granny. Even though the day was overcast, the view was phenomenal. The interactive computers were especially helpful in spotting landmarks and the face paintings were an unexpected and appreciated ending to a great visit. The staff was out of sight - especially Melissa K, Michelle G. and Burk Murchison. They were great hosts.
Michelle at the photo booth was terrific and Drew, our elevator ambassador was very nice. A must see in Dallas and very kid friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.
First of all, we came here with my two young kids so going up the "light-up ball" and the "light-up microphone" www a ball for them. Pun intended. Second of all, my husband who has this extreme fear of heights made it into the elevator and then went out. Burk Murchison Jr. Who was tending the elevators that night made him feel a ease to get off and try again with the next group. He got on and Burk talked to my husband all the way up and before he knew it, we were there. So big props to Burk!!Second, once on the GeoDeck, I thought my husband was going to throw up. Aja was super nice and patient with my husband and talked to him the whole time. She coached him to walk around and finally helped him take baby steps toward the window. She was awesome and my husband conquered a huge fear this night. Thanks to both Aja and Burke!!!
AMAZING view of downtown Dallas with beautiful scenery, especially at night time. Aisa and Michelle G. were Great and Very Helpful!!! They even helped me get over my fear of heights!!!
If a city has a tower that you can go to the top of, then that's exactly what I'll do. My buddy and I visited before a conference we attended and ended up spending most of the afternoon up top. We opted for the ticket that included lunch (decent sandwiches). We finished our meal with Reunion Tower-shaped dessert, because how often do you get to eat a replica of the building that you're in? (Not very often, for me, anyway.)Because it was a random Monday in November, there were few folks in the revolving restaurant, so the staff let us be and we enjoyed gawking at the view and telling silly stories (not about the view) for quite a while until they needed to prep for dinner. (And all the staff were nice, by the way.) And then it was time for the Geodeck! Again, we had the place to ourselves. We liked the exhibits, especially the one that shows all the colors of the lights for different occasions. We also liked that we were able to use a kiosk to email copies (for free!) of the obligatory photo taken prior to ascending the tower. That was definitely a nice touch. And the view? It's swell. I'm somewhat geeky about architecture and it'd been almost a decade since I'd been in Dallas, so it was terrific to admire the changes in the city along with the structures from way back when. One minor issue concerned buying the ticket for the lunch package. They "require" you to purchase online and print out your confirmation, but we'd purchased the tickets on our smartphones when we got there and they were hesitant to honor them at first and then decided to. We didn't have access to printers, so it ended up being rather cumbersome. But it was worth it in the end!
We visited the tower on a sunny clear day and could see for miles. Niqi was very helpful in answering our questions. Thank you. This was our exchange student's favorite stop on the trip.
We live downtown Dallas and had been wanting to go for a while since it is such a big attraction for Dallas. We really enjoyed going with friends and seeing our neighborhood from hundreds of feet up. We went during the day to the Geodeck and will likely go back to the nice restaurant at night to see how the city looks all lit up. We used a Groupon and we would likely go again to the geodeck if they bring it back to Groupon. They take a picture of your group that you can send to yourself which was nice- Michelle G with the photos was very friendly!
We enjoyed the visit, bit pricey for the view. We did it, once, not something to do again. They have a restaurant and a cafe in this location.
Great attraction with helpful and knowledgeable people. We went during the day and should have come back at night but we ran out of time on our trip. The deck is outside so we happened to bring our jackets otherwise it would have been way to cold to walk on the deck.
Located at the bottom is the Hyatt Hotel. Wife and I visited one evening before heading back to the hotel. Not a whole lot to see since it was foggy, do check the weather before spending the cash ($16 no military discount) and riding up. Self Parking is about a 1/4 mile walk and you pay by the 1/2 to 1 HR, ours was 6$ for about 2 hours. Since we have been to the Hancock and Willis Towers in Chicago, this is minor in comparison. That being said, at least at night you get to see the lights of the city. Would not return, once is enough for a wise man. But for an experience and city view check it out. In addition, the cafe closes at 7PM and rotates as you sit at the table. Thanks for reading, if it helps, give a thumbs up! :)RetiredArmyRANGER
So I was doing a quick walking tour of Dallas on a roadtrip and I was on my own for the time being. I wanted to see a few sites within a short walk or train ride away. Michelle, the receptionist, convinced me that I should check it out. And I certainly wasn't let down. Reunion tower gives an awesome view of the city that I couldn't have gotten from anywhere else. I even spotted the red pegasus and got some cool selfies. -Sean
My boyfriend and I visited the tower on March 1st in the evening. It was a nice experience. You were able to walk outside on the patio area and take in the view in the open air. The inside was updated with computers that gave you information on the area and an idea of where things were located. It was helpful to go on the first night, because it gave me a prospective of where things were in the area.
