I'm not sure what this place is trying to be. It has a rather strange layout with an institutional feel upon entry. The good thing; is a room upstairs for local art shows including photography.

We truly enjoyed the artistry of the Native American Indian that was displayed during August. There is a lot of history there and the attention to detail was amazing. I highly recommend it!

A Small Art Gallery but it had some nice things. It will only take you an hour or so to go through the whole thing but they do let the community exhibit alot here in collaboration with the schools.

I went there a while back to see a photo exhibit and some other art was displayed as well. I'd like to see this local museum grow and perhaps in time it will. Good start.

The museum had Ansel Adams Masterworks Exhibit on display during our visit so I felt it was well worth our time. I had the impression there are no permanent exhibits in this small museum. So you probably want to decide whether or not to go to the museum based on the current exhibit. Much of the facility is an event venue and museum visitors and people setting tables for a reception were practically bumping into each other on Saturday afternoon.

I loved the pictures and enjoyed the movie. I'm a huge fan of Ansel Adams. The movie is a must see. I was very touched!!

Loved the work displayed. Really couldn't believe the crumbling & decaying building was shown in such condition. There were also no artist individual postcards to purchase.

It's a good place to visit for people who love culture and art and to learn something new.I'm ashamed to say that I didn't know about Ansel Adams before this exhibition. But it inspired us to see Monument Valley that we saw in his pictures and to buy a picture for our house:)

Saw the Ansel Adams photo exhibit. That was all there was. Just about 50 or so photos in a somewhat run down building. Nothing other than the photos and a movie about Adams. Thought there might actually be a few paintings but no.

The Ansell Adams Masterworks exhibition is excellent. The docent was super friendly and sweet. Enjoyed meeting the winner of the local competition held in conjunction with the exhibit, delightful lady. The photography curator was friendly and enjoyable. Only one unpleasant kind of hateful woman, appeared not to enjoy her job. Pleasant afternoon for the most part. Unlike a lot of gift shops theirs is extremely reasonable.

We didn't even realize that there was an art museum in Arlington. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the photographs of Ansel Adams!!It makes us want to visit Yosemite soon! There were also photos upstairs from a recent local completion. We just wish that there had been a card explaining something about the photographs. After speaking with a gentleman who works at the museum we learned of the upcoming exhibit to be shown in September - lithographs during the Louisiana Purchase. We wished that there was a flier that we could have picked up on this to take home and read about at our leisure. This would have been most helpful. But we will be back to view the next exhibit on September. Regular admission for seniors is $5. On Tuesday you get half off regular admission. So we saved $2 by coming on a Tuesday.

Visited "Artists in Motion" in February with paintings & sketches from Houston artist Donray. Very beautiful artwork, really shows the motion of dance movement. Costumes on loan from Texas Ballet Theater are beautiful, and you can get up close & personal with them. Very good exhibit of ballet & art. They were placed on 4 floors of the art museum, although I felt they could have been grouped together tighter, but I guess they had a lot of room to fill up. If you love ballet & wonderful art, do go!

I was amazed to find a Smithsonian exhibit in Arlington. The William H Johnson exhibit was fantastic and paired with a Harlem Renaissance collection. I always check out their website to see what exhibitions they have when I'm in town.

I attended the museum and saw the exhibit about women's baseball. I enjoyed the exhibit, but before I went in, I thought that it was a special exhibit to go along with the museum's permanent exhibits. Much to my surprise, that was the ONLY exhibit in the museum. For $8, I expected to see a lot more.
