Riding the fence about this park. Yes, if you buy the Gold Combo Season Pass, you can visit both Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor for one low price plus get free parking so it's cost saving. However, the park needs some SERIOUS cosmetic lift. Faded paint, chipped sides on attractions, long waits while workers conduct safety reviews ONCE AGAIN and too many maintenance interruptions. I also don't like the fact that they took out the convenient cubbyholes located at many of the attractions to place drink bottles and bags in. Many of the attractions' attendants told us to take our belongings with us. There are not enough lockers near these attractions. You are making it hard for me to come visit you, Six Flags Over Texas.

We arrived early to use our gold passes and pulled behind other cars waiting to enter the park. When they opened our lane was not opened and we all had to try and move over to a lane for entry. The park was opened an hour early for gold pass members, so we rushed to a ride and still had to wait 20 more minutes because the ride was not opened. Later we moved to another area of the park to ride to ride Run Away Mountain. Stood in line for awhile and they I found a person to speak with. When I asked him why we were not moving he stated they are waiting for someone who can operate the ride. We then left there and went to get in line for the Titan ride only to be told when we got there that the ride was down for an hour. We went and got some snacks and bought the plastics cups that come with free refills for the day. Later we went to get free refills and the server asked to see my wrist band. I explained that we did not receive a wrist band for the day. I had to find my reciept and then she gave us wrist bands for the day along with the refills. Overall the family had fun but this was a frustrating day.

Our family hasn't visited the park in a couple of years, and I was pleasantly surprised to see more of a dress code enforced for staff members, as well as the staff taking the initiative to be friendly instead of just passing by guests. It just seemed like more like a mini Disney experience, which helps me justify the money spent. We will definitely be visiting more often!

Six Flags has Roller Coasters and Rides for everyone on the family. Whether you love Roller Coasters or not! They have the best Thrill Rides like Mr. Freeze, The Titan and The Texas Giant. They also have family fun rides like the Mini Mine Train and the Gunslinger. And for your littlest ones they have Semi Trucks they get to drive, Airplanes to fly in and a fun water blaster ride to shoot water at each other! The seasons pass is the best way to go. It pays for itself with just 2 visits!

We had a great day here with our 23, 17, 14& 11 yo. If you buy tickets online you can save approx $15 per person. You can also buy food passes and fast passes. We went during "Spring Break" so school was on vacation and so lots of kids meaning the lines were long. The fast pass would have been good because we waited 1hr40 min in the Texas Giant line. Others we skipped as the line was just as long. The food is pricey and averages $10 per person min for hot dog, burger or pizza. We bought a refill drink bottle for $15.99 + tax(about$17.50) but we shared it and could refill it all day for free. We were there 10 hours so we probably filled it 10 times. We did not see probably half of all the rides as it was quite busy when we got there. My advice on what to do and how best to make the most of your day - 1. Buy your tickets online and consider a food pass and fast pass! You can also purchase parking online. If you live in the area you might want to consider a season pass. You won't have to waste time standing in line to buy tickets. 2. Get there when the park opens. You can probably get on the popular rides with little wait times and allow you to see other parts of the park at your leisure. 3. Lots of side shows that cost $2-$5. 4. Not a lot of healthy options so you might want to take your own. 5. Wear comfortable shoes as there is alot of walking involved. 6. Ask a local if you know one as they have ticket promotions every now and again!

Had a very good time. Don't rush yourself and be patient. The other people may make it a bummer if they are not patient.

We got season passes for spring break and went everyday. We also made use of the passes throughout the summer since we are only a couple hours away.

Visited here with friends, Is an awesome place to spend your day. We reached here around 1 in noon which i would say is very late if you wanna enjoy all the rides. I would recommend you to book your tickets online and start your day early.

Over the years I have gone to the original Six Flags located in Arlington many times. I went when I was a small child and loved every minute. I went as a teenager and loved how grown up it made me feel, for going off with my friends in a relatively safe environment for good clean fun. I took my sons along with my husband, and we bought season passes. My oldest son's first job was there. Now, I look forward to taking my grandsons there. It is a place of fun, exciting rides and is great for all ages. It is fun to go during the week when the lines are shorter, and during the spring and fall it is not as hot. You can always cool off on one of the rides that involve water. The shows are well done and fun for all ages. Be sure to experience Six Flags at night when all the lights are shining it is a magical place to be, so don't leave the park too early. The food is expensive, as well as the drinks, so be prepared. This park is still fun, even after about fifty years.
