Great place for a nice time of relaxing and relieving stress of the day.Wines were all good but I loved the pomegranate best. The ladles up front were very nice and helpful and allowed you to try out the wines before purchasing. I will be a frequent customer come warmer weather.
My friends took me here on my last evening in Abilene and I was soo upset! Had I known this place existed I would've probably visited every day of my trip. The winery has really delicious and unusual fruity wines that I have never seen or heard of before in my life. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the ladies that run the place and nice and easy going. They have a food truck outside where you can get something to eat and cupcakes for sale inside as well. In the evening its particularly nice because they have the heat lamps outside and blankets to keep you warm if you don't feel like being inside. Everyone that goes to Abilene needs to visit this place!!!
We had a blast! Tastings are affordable and service is awesome. Appetizers are great and the wines are tasty. The outdoor area is cozy & surprisingly cool for July!
Being a wine snob let me state that no, this isn't your European getaway winery. If you're looking for authentic vino go to the liquor store. It's Abilene, Texas.....but the fact that there is a winery is the point, and it's a good time. This winery has a short menu of your typical wines and then the specialty flavored wine with two different alcohol percentages...high or low. You can stand at the bar and taste test for $5. Then you can order a bottle and go or you can buy a glass/open a tab and sit inside or outside in the big patio area. It's located right off a stream and golf course, the backdrop is nice. If you're there on a weekend and there's a wedding next door...free music. They also have cupcakes, wine slushies and fruit/cheese platters. They have some cool wine Toppers and other gadgets too. I've visited several times with friends and will continue to go back. We always have a good time. I will say I don't feel children should be allowed. They also support military discount.
This is nice place to sit, have a glass, and if it's a nice night enjoy the patio, as long as you don't care about the quality of the wine your drink. Given the types of wines (a lot of strange fruit mixtures) and taste of the wines, it does not appear that they make their wines from grapes. Instead it appears they order a wine concentrate that comes in bags and they add the water there at the shop. Like I said, it's okay if you want to gather with friends and need a casual place to go, but don't go in expecting a real winery.
