glendo reservoir

My 6-yr-old grandson and I spent one night in the Two Moons campground at Glendo on our return from Yellowstone National Park. We found the site completely acceptable.The campsites are a bit more rustic than some parks ... RV parking pads are gravel, not concrete, and tend not to be very well leveled. Also, our specific site was a bit overgrown, so scratched the RV on tree limbs entering and leaving. Sites are large and well separated, nicely tucked within the trees. Many campers are boaters taking advantage of the reservoir. There are NO hookups, but there is a clean, well-thought-out RV dump station (with potable water) on the way out of the park.Bottom line: would certainly stay here again, especially if attracted to the lake for recreation.

Huge lake with lots of places to camp or pull the boat in and hang out. There's a nice Sandy beach area that's shallow enough for swimming. Lots of fishing spots!!

I recently visited Glendo with some friends that go there almost every weekend to camp and boat. We had a great tour cruising the lake, wake boarding, and hanging on the beach. We did a little cliff jumping after surveying the water below and had a great time. The weather was surprising good most of the day with a little wind in the afternoons. The lake seemed large enough that there was never an issue with other boaters. The lake has had critcism about the level of water in it, but when we were there it was 92% full. It might have been great because of the friends we were with, but overall a fun weekend.

I've never personally cared for Glendo.. No real reason, just haven't. Their are boat docks, camping sites, etc. but lately the water level has been VERY VERY LOW! Alcova isn't as big as Glendo, but does have more appeal to it.

Not a boat person, not alot of trees, so prefer going to the mountains to fish or enjoy the scenery, just not our kind of lake.
