We stumbled upon this gallery/museum by accident on our way to Devil's Tower. If we hadn't been following the Google Maps coordinates, we would have missed seeing this place. It became a highlight of our entire trip. Bob was there and was such an interesting person to meet. His collection of antiquities is stunning, and it was so cool to meet such a talented artist in person. His artistry is truly moving. He was kind enough to open the storefront next door to the museum, and we purchased a few things to take home. Unfortunately we were in a compact car and had a long flight home, otherwise we would have bought even more! We'd definitely go back.
In all of my Travels, I have Never been to such an Amazing Experience as Bob Coronado's Rogue's Gallery. If You are visiting Devils Tower, You need to come for a visit. Bob Coronado is an Incredible Artist; his paintings and drawing Truly capture the Essence of the Cowboy and Native LIfe. It is more than worth the stop, simply to view some of his creations and chat with the artist. The Stunning part, of the Rogue's Gallery Experience, is Bob's Museum; Yes, its FREE. In the displays there are Western Artifacts & Memorabilia that cover more than 200 years of NOrthern Plains History. The Truly Overwhelming (in a Great Way) part is Bob, himself !!! Driven by his Love of Western Culture and Artifacts, he is a True History Expert,....and an Amazing Story Teller. He does make History Come Alive. Every item in the Museum has Mesmerizing Story that comes with it !!! Just point and ask, "What is the story behind this one?", and Bob is Happy to share !!! I have listened to him for hours, and Always depart in a much more Enlightened State!!! YOU CAN, TOO !!! Take the Time and stop by. The sign outside lets You know that he's "Open 23 hours/day"...!!!
This place is simply awesome! He has a little bit of everything "western". He is an amazing artist and designs Rodeo posters that are unbelievable! We bought 3 prints and he sign them for us. Super nice guy!!! The museum in the back was fantastic! Every item (except a few satirical pieces) are actual artifacts from cowboys and Indians... no "replicas" or "casts". I could have spent the day here. You won't be disappointed. This place is AWESOME!!!
We stopped in Hulett, Wyoming on our drive from Devil's Tower. Bumped into a friendly town full of history. The Rugues Gallery is a FREE museum of Native American and Cowboy history. The owner is a genuine history expert trained by his sincere interest in the western cultures of the past and more than willing to share wealth of knowledge. He's constantly on the search for more artifacts to add to his collection. Also, he's a very talented western artist. Definitely worth a stop.
Oh my! This is one of the best history museums I have seen. The combination of fantastic artists, Indian history and artifacts, and even a little humor makes this a must stop when leaving devils tower! I am so glad we didn't just drive through this small town. Thank you!
This gallery is a cross between a working artist gallery, history museum and antique store. We enjoyed our tour and learned more about the real "old west". My husband fell in love with the rodeo posters and bought one to take home. This was an unexpected jewel in an out of the way place!
We had planned a quick, spur of the moment trip to Devil's Tower and found a nice place in Hulett to stay. Just so happens we stumbled upon Bob's unique creation and were extremely glad we did. After several hours of perusing the Gallery and talking with Bob, we made a few antique purchases. We can't wait to make it back. Definitely a place to add to your bucket list, you won't be disappointed!
Put Rogues on your list of things you must do while visiting The Black Hills and Devil's Tower. The artist is incredibly talented and the owners will show you what Black Hills charm is all about. Hit up the Hulett Ham n Jam during rally week. Don't live with regrets, DO IT!
I met this amazing place through a friend, I had the pleasure of knowing Bob Coronato artist and gallery owner and I can say that his works are wonderful. My living room into Italy shows 5 of his works. Thanks Bob greetings from Italy.
