Lovely park, very close to town. Well kept and clean. It was lovely to see all the flowers, and bushes, children playing on the grass.

This is such a great park! There is an food vendor on site that offers the absolute best ice creams!!!! The prices are extremely low considering the quality of the goods. A nice change in a world that seems to charge you to breath :) It's a great place for kids to burn off some energy as well. There are loads of play equipment and grass to run and play in. Enjoy an ice cream and some sunshine. Perfect way to spend a warm summer afternoon.

So far, in all my years of living, this is BY FAR, the most AMAZING PARK EVER! A quaint little Ice Cream shoppe by the HUGE playground. Will keep your kids busy for HOURS. Tons of grass to run around in. Frequently in the Summer there are concerts going on down the greenway from the playground, and then to top it off, the cutest little Swimming Park! IM IN LOVE. Id live in Sheridan just for this park :)

I suppose the term "small town" is relative to individual exposure, but in this town of <18,000 people, Sheridan is maintaining its small town feel quite nicely. Kendrick Park has the ear marks that make a park beautiful, restful, and intimate while feeling simultaneously communal. Joggers and walkers frequent it, children and adults alike line up for the ice cream, dogs happily trot along the creek with their masters, and children play in the playground under the tree dappled sun as parents look on from cozy park benches. During the summer, you can see a family movie outdoors, or a concert or play in the amphitheater, all from the comfort of a picnic blanket or camp chair. In the winter, it can be a wonderland as you stroll along the frozen creek. So many things make Sheridan idyllic, and this is one of them.

This park was wonderful alot of people but you could view the elk and bison there, it had a creek to play in and the best part was the ice cream stand it was absolutely delicious and the girls working there were very nice.

Every summer, Kendrick Park in Sheridan, Wyoming opens it's concession stand. Many ice cream flavors to chose from, but we go there whenever we visit home because it is one of the very few places you can get licorice ice cream. I am talking black licorice. Kendrick Park is a great little park. Shady, grassy and a nice music pavilion for summer evening concerts. In recent years, a paved hike and bike path has been added to Sheridan. Part of it skirts one end of the park, making the park a great stop on a long bike ride, because, yes, you can bike long or short around Sheridan. These are some of the best bike paths I have ever ridden and I currently reside in a "bike friendly" city. Sheridan's are better. Don't forget the Sheridan Rodeo is the second week of July. A really great little rodeo without the crowds of bigger cities. Bonus: pancake breakfast, Rodeo Run, bed races, parade (after the parade, you can "ballyhoo" with the 7th Cavalry) and two nights of street dancing during rodeo week. The 5k run goes right through Kendrick Park. So if you are visiting Wyoming this summer, make sure you make Sheridan a stop during Rodeo week. And one more thing, some really great new restaurants and at least one micro brewer. Check out Warehouse 201 and while you are eating some first class food, notice the detail in this restored building.

Our photographer chose this location for us and assured us that it would be the perfect location for us to get remarried. We showed up there on the day of the ceremony and we were pleasantly surprised. We had looked at this location online but it was so much better in person. You can see the mountains from the hill and the manicured lawn made for the perfect setting. We also were worried from reading on their website that there would be an additional charge for using the grounds but they were happy to let us use if for no cost at all. The setting was very quiet and serene and the weather could not have been better. There were a few people milling around but once they realized what we were doing (which was obvious with my big dress) they stayed clear of the area where we were. The mansion itself was not open on the day but the grounds are very nice. There is also a wildlife preserve nearby that is the home to a small herd of buffalo and that was a fun surprise. I would recommend this stop in to everyone at any age. There was plenty of path space throughout so it is accessible to everyone.

Several acres of well maintained park with ice cream stand, rest rooms and concert shell. Up close views of elk and buffalo along the shores of Big Goose Creek. Come have a picnic with us. Handicap access at all venues.

Stop here for the best hard ice cream cones! They are huge and very inexpensive. Your kids will love playing on the playground as well.

Great park for walking or cycling or enjoy sitting on a bench by the creek enjoying the sound of the water. There is also a very large playground area for the children. There is a swimming pool but it was not open when we visited. There are picnic tables. A nice park in Sheridan, WY. The Sheridan Pathway comes through here for exercise and we enjoyed bicycling on this pathway in Sheridan.

We were pleasantly surprised when the staff at our hotel (ABVI) sent us here. Loved the music at the bandstand and the wood tree carvings were fantastic!!! The ice cream stand was a real treat and so yummy!!! The new baby buffalo was adorable too!

Close to historic downtown Sheridan is Kendrick Park. For around $2-$3/ person, you can use the pool and water slide for either the afternoon or the evening. They have several lifeguards and they do frequent pool checks for safety. There is an ice cream spot nearby and, incidentally, a couple bison live in an adjacent fenced off area, which is kind of cool if you don't get to see bison!
