Perfect photo opportunity! We took the tour, did the wine tasting and sampled the pistachios. Really enjoyed the informative tour led by James. I was drawn to the site after snacking on the green chile flavored pistachios in the break room. Can't be beat! Great flavors although wish they had the raw pistachios. Wine is drinkable, but probably more of a novelty with flavors such as pistachio and green and red chile. Fun for the whole family.

Great tour by James. He was right, we learned more than we never wanted to know about farming pistachios. Really interesting. Wine and pistachio sampling and a great store with a nice variety of edibles. Highly recommend this operation as a stop if you are in or traveling through Alamogordo.

I love this place! Not only were we lucky enough to be part of an unscheduled tour (thanks to our kind tour guide) it was full of interesting information. The gift shop is full of a variety of things to interest just about anyone. I found everything reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly.

I've visited their store twice and found all the pistachio and local treats I could ask for. They even had some wine to taste. But, I come back for (mail order) the pistachios. They are hot off the press. We mostly go for the garlic or BBQ. When I ordered a substitute because they were out of stock on the BBQ, I got a call from the store saying they were making a new batch that day - could my order delay a day. Sure! Thanks.They offer tours of the pistachio grove - haven't done it yet.

We arrived here just as they opened in the morning. They are undergoing a bit of construction these days, but it didn't stop us from enjoying our visit. The gift shop has lots of interesting items and it's great fun tasting the different flavors of both pistachios and pecans they have to sample. We ended up buying quite a few bags of pistachios to take back as gifts from our trip. We checked later on prices in stores and they are much cheaper - so stock up!!

Thank you for your review. The World's Largest Pistachio is a dedication to Thomas McGinn, the founder of the pistachio farm and vineyards. Inside the farm, we offer motorized tours of the orchard and vineyards. Inside the store we offer many flavors of pistachios, pistachio cookies and pistachio candies that we make daily on the farm. Wine tasting is free and we make wine from our grapes, as well as fruit wines. We are open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Our hours are 9am to 5pm MST. From March through October we are open 9am to 6pm daily MST. We hope to see you in the future.
